On a scale from 1-10, how would you rate your confidence for the Dallas Cowboys heading into the 09 season? We've now seen how well the first teamers are doing and I believe we could hang with any team on any given day.

I'm at a 8. Penalties and depth at a few positions are what's keeping me from a 10. I feel confident that our Offense will move the chains and put up points. We are running very basic packages and plays and still tossing defenses around for the most part.

I do feel shaky on Wade's obsession on soft zone coverage at the end of halfs though. It just boggles my mind that he still continues to do it. I hope it's because it's preseason and he doesn't want to show his hand but that MUST be touched up.

7.1...as stated penalties, along with a defense that hasn't shown they are any better than last year.

Add to that an offense that has long drives and comes away with no points or 3's.

However, I am a homer regardless of what others think so I graded on the curve.

I'll go with 7 as well.

As far as the roster goes I have a 10. I really like the players we have.

But like others have stated, penalties and turnovers still scare me.

We have been awesome for a few years now but we always find the most off the wall ways to lose a game.

If we cut down on turnovers and penalties we will be in the Superbowl.

8, but subject to change based upon how the offense is called after the first four games.

I was at 8.5 until Romo chucked up the INT. Now I'm at 7.

One interception in a preseason game...geesh..

Anyways, I'm at about an 8.

7 ....this team is thin a key areas and until this team shows it doesn't continue to take dumb penalties and that the defense can actually make key stops which they've shown they are unable to do on a consistant basis, I see this team as a 9 win team, missing the playoffs

I'm at a 6 right now.

It's not about our talent. I have faith there. The jury is still out on the coaching staff.

Our depth is shaky as well.

I think Romo will have a great year though.

Like TwoDeep, I'm not sold on the defense. We have a new starting OLB, two very young CBs, and little depth along the DL.

I don't like how our offense is not capitalizing more on all the time of possession. I know it is preseason and supposedly we are being very vanilla, but we can't keep having 9 minute 14 play drives and miss a field goal or only get 3 pts.

I think this team is more disciplined than previous years. After a few cuts happen, we should lose some of the more notorious flag players.

I think the 49ers special teams made our ST unit look better. We have been getting dumb penalties and turning the ball over. This needs to be fixed especially with all the commitment we made to special teams.

I like what I see from our defense, but I am still worried about our inability to get interceptions/fumbles. Our starting defense hasn't really gotten as much snaps as our starting offense so I can't evaluate them as well.

I am ready to start the season.

8's about right for me, maybe 8.5

Like what I've seen from the offense, especially the balance and spreading the passing game around.

Like what I've seen from the OL, they are healthy and the run blocking seems improved to me.

I like our starting D and our key nickel people.

It's obvious the ST is improved, especially with McBriar returning and being really good at downing the ball inside the 20. Buehler is a huge upgrade for the kickoff team. Other than one or two returns, the coverages have been excellent too.

I like Kitna as a backup over Brad Johnson.

9 - starters

5 - backups

9 + 5 = 14 / 2 = 7

7 - team (going into season)

10- We've got more talent than most of the teams we'll face. It's all about effort and focus and I think we'll have it this season. We can only be beaten by ourselves at this point.
