Ratliff injures his knee-questionable for sunday *Merged*

I didn't see this anywhere on here:

Jay Ratliff - DT Dallas
Cowboys NT Jay Ratliff is in danger of missing Week 8 after sitting out Friday's practice with a knee injury.
Ratliff only has a sprain, as tests revealed no ligament damage. He is Dallas' best interior pass rusher, however, and would make their defense slightly less desirable in a lips-licking matchup against the Seahawks.

I believe the Cowboys would probably start Marcus Spears and Jason Hatcher would play the left end position which will open it up more for a quicker pass-rush.

He's a beast, he'll play and play well. I don't see him sitting a ball game..

That has already been posted. With Rat being the animal he is, I believe that most think he will play.

Nose tackle listed as questionable

By Tim MacMahon / ESPNDallas.com / Archive / Updated: October 31, 2009, 12:45 AM ET

Pro Bowl nose tackle Jay Ratliff suffered a bruised right knee during Thursday's practice and is listed as questionable for the Dallas Cowboys' game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

"There is slight swelling," coach Wade Phillips said. "We did an MRI. We think it's something that will get better. How quickly is the question."

Ratliff, who did not practice Friday, underwent treatment after practice. He has two sacks and a team-leading five tackles for loss among his 31 tackles this season. He also is fourth on the team with 10 quarterback pressures.

A team source told ESPN's Matt Mosley he would be "shocked" if Ratliff didn't start.

Junior Siavii (6-5, 320), who has been effective playing about 15 snaps per game, will start if Ratliff is unable to play. Coaches have credited Siavii with 15 tackles this season, including seven on 16 plays in last week's win over the Atlanta Falcons.

"He's improved as we played each game," Phillips said of Siavii, who had been out of football the previous three seasons. "I think he's ready to play."

DE Marcus Spears has worked at nose tackle the last two days and would split time with Siavii. Jason Hatcher would replace Ratliff in the nickel and dime packages.

So is it a sprained right knee or a bruised right knee?

This injury could be huge against us.

Thank God Julius cant run up the middle...this will only hurt our pass rush

I believe the Easter Bunny is going to bring me a big giant basket of goodies this year.

Some are calling it a sprain and then some reports say no ligament damage. Since a sprain is slight cartilage damage this sounds strange. If Rat is just bruised and no ligament damage he should play.
