Brent did something stupid and had an ACCIDENT. Ray Rice PURPOSELY punched his wife hard enough to knock her out. There is no comparison!

That a terrible comparison. One is a direct intent to do harm. The other harm created by bad decisions. Rice intended to do harm. Brent did not. Intent is pretty important.

Just because Brent didn't mean to do it does not give him a pass.

Involuntary manslaughter versus domestic violence. In the eyes of the law, manslaughter is worse. The court of public opinion is irrelevant. Not that it matters whatsoever.

Both made bad decisions, but both should get another chance to show they learned from past mistakes. Rice should and will be in some teams camp next year.

What would Rice do behind this line next year?

If, as some of you seem to think, Murray is slow and nothing special, will Rice work for a price that will satisfy your angst over the cap, which none of us can affect?
