Twitter: RB Pecking Order: Zeke-DMC-Morris

Does Morris play ST? I would have figured he'd be inactive since Dunbar does.

What exactly did Morris do? I noticed he didn't seem to get his traditional 3rd series against the Giants either.

Morris was always the straight back-up RB....if DMC is active Morris shouldn't be.......at least Dunbar can return or split out wide

Should have traded Morris if we knew we were bringing MC back......could have go something

We probably could have gotten a draft pick from Green Bay while his stock was still high...

Very curious to see what DMC can do as a relief or 3rd down back.

People need to realize Elliott simply cannot be on the field for EVERY single offensive snap. Maybe DMC can provide the missing spark when Elliott needs a breather.
I am amazed at how many posters....long time members....respected members....of this forum....are on record saying run Zeke until the wheels fall off. It is one of the more idiotic statements I have ever heard on this board. This kid is 21. They cite his youth as a reason to run him to death. I think that is the very reason you do NOT run him to death. His is 21....21...still maturing both physically and mentally. DMC and Morris are both former 1000 yards backs in the NFL. Use them to ensure you get he best Zeke for 16 game plus a playoff run. That is so obvious to me...not sure why that is not obvious to others.

The pecking order should be Zeke, DMC and Morris, not even sure why Dunbar wasn't cut. However, I think Zeke should be in on 3rd downs, he is a tremendous weapon out of the passing game and should be in late even when trailing, great dump off option that has the ability to go the distance...none of our other backs give us that ability.

Yeah, I think given the full year as a starter, Morris probably would've put up around 1100.
Nope. I heard here that if Morris started we would have the same record. That would mean Morris would have to have at least the same amount of yards and 3rd down conversions as Zeke

What's this coaching staff's fascination with Dunbar?

I would be shocked if they bench Morris and not Dunbar.

Emmitt played all the snaps until the game was in hand.

There are a lot of "respected" people here that say a lot of stupid things. I dont know if they had head trauma after gaining this respect but before i got here but when i see people deferring to them, it puzzles me. I certainly am not due any respect for my opinions, but i know "emotional reactionary" when i see it. And i see it a lot.

Hard to know. I can appreciate the idea that it takes RBs a bit to get into a flow. But he does seem a bit heavy legged to me. I think they prefer DMacs juice, stresses defenses more.

Yeah, and if there is anyone who can recover from a heavy workload, it's a 21 year old. Rookie wall my ***. Zeke will lower that XXL head of his and run THROUGH that wall. Run him early. Run him often.
