I don’t understand how the head coach keeps saying he wants to run the ball more but the front office hasn’t really addressed RB like they should. They must really love Malik Davis.

The offensive line is severely lacking in depth when an inevitable injury happens.

Yet they drafted a TE in the second round.

The team is talented no doubt but Stephen usually has some contingency plans in place. Must be hoping for guys to be released at end of camp.

Pollard is a 15ish carry guy with or without Jones. Cowboys are almost assuredly bringing in another back now. I’d probably pick Zeke over Fournette, but Hunt is an interesting choice
no to both of them....Zeke is slow. Fourtnette, slower. Jones slower than both....we can see Davis, Luepke can do.

How do you know that haven't addressed running back like they should? They have 6 of them

Anyone who thinks they don’t need that guy….or a replacement…. is wrong.

Pollard and Vaughn? Really? They need another and his name better not be Elliott.

I’m not gonna cry about not signing Cook because he seems to want a haul of a salary, but they need to pick someone up along the way here most likely.

Do NOT try to tell me Vaughn is RB2. He is a specialist type, not replacement for your lead dog, which Pollard has never been, not even in college, and RB2 is more like 1A in this case.

A team that wants to ‘run the ball more’ is razor thin at RB right now.
I don't think Vaughn is the RB2, that's either Davis, or Dowdle. lets see what they got. before dipping into what's left in the market, I want to see those guys will flat out fail in PS. Davis as #2 might be fine. he has more speed and determination than Jones. for short yardage, lets see what Luepke can do.

Bad news for Jones. Since he doesn't play special teams he needed to be the undisputed number 2 back to make the team. Now that he's suspended the RB depth chart looks like Pollard, Vaughn, and Dowdle.

As it stands, the opening roster looks like this to me:

RB1 Pollard
RB2 either Davis or Dowdle
RB3 Deuce
FB1 Luepke

Then, after 2 games, if the team is not happy with RB2, they can bring Jones back in as RB2

I had it etched into my brain that Jones was going to contribute more than most seem to think, so I overlooked Davis, and Dowdle isn’t awful either.

It’s a tough position. If Pollard is healthy but needs a few weeks to get back to 2022 level, is Davis the right guy to decide your playoff seeding?

I get he’s a valuable young prospect that you want to see, but it seems like such an unnecessary risk for a potentially NFC contender

It opens up a roster spot for someone they fear losing at the end of TC. But, may also mean going into the season with Malik Davis (who I like a lot as a player) and Deuce behind TP (coming off of injury).

Maybe Malik proves to be capable of being RB2 full time. Maybe they put Jones on the PS as a vet eligible to be called up.

He wanted an edge. They test you for weed and those type of drugs during camps. If you pass that “random” test they won’t test you again unless you are stupid and make it obvious with social media or pictures.

PEDS they are actually tougher on. They have a certain amount of times a year they “can” randomly test you for. The level of testosterone they test you for is a higher scale than us normal people. 1000 or 1100 is for us. I hear because they are athletes and young that they “can” have more than double normal people can have. But they look for water pills and things to flush your system. After every game there is a certain number of people from each team is randomly chosen to be tested for PEDS. This is what I read a year or so ago about their deal.
