RDE in this draft is not very good

most of these guys in the draft especially at the top are LDEs. Really the only one thats uninjured and in the are area dallas will draft in RD1 is Harris. And i really dont think he'd start over Mayowa, since i think Dallas wants to move Lawrence back to LDE. Takkarist would be a nice pickup but he's out for 6months. So he wouldnt be back until september. Starting the yr on the PUP? Think Dallas would be better off going inside with a guy like Brantley at the 1tech in round 1 and bringing in a vet DE. Reports Ware wants a return to Dallas, rotating with Mayowa would be a good thing.

Yeah I agree there just isn't going to be any real immediate help in this draft. It is going to be be pretty much the same this year unless Tapper does something miraculous.

You never know. Players drop every year. Thornton began playing well toward the end of the year. Crawford or Irving can both rush from the DT position. And who knows, we can possibly resign McClain.

Thornton is a run stuffer. Not a passrusher. Im a big fan of thornton but im not going to lie to myself on something he isnt. Crawford a 3tech and so is irving. Neither of them have played the 1tech. McClain is a goner.

Just cause the names are on the roster you just cant throw them out there on things they arent doing and havent done.

Irving and Mayowa. They produced when they were inserted in the rotation on a fulltime basis. Now i dont think either will be elite guys, but they are effective. I think they will be even more effective with a rush from inside that will force QBs to the outside and where they can use their speed against these T's. Irving i think is going to come into his own this yr and make Lawrence expendable next offseason. Mayowa if he can put in the work can become a legit starting RDE. But for the time being i think a guy like Ware or Peppers would do wonders for him. And Dallas has a healthy Tapper waiting this yr. The cubbard isnt bare, it just has alot of youth.

i would take Tim Williams in rd2 in a heart beat. Doubt he makes it that far

Dallas is just going to have to take a chance on one of the small-school pass rushers available in rounds 3 through 5.
