You do know he can only apply for reinstatement on Jan 5th 2018?

And even then, *if* he's even reinstated, there's no guarantee it would be before the playoffs.

Even if Jerry and everyone believes in him, he won't effect draft plans
he wont, and he shouldnt, but what dallas has and listening to stephen jones it sounds like they arent going to reach and draft a de just because they need one. And IMO where they are drafting and what most likely will be avail i think they would be reaching.

Disagree. We need pass rushers. I'm not convinced guys like Charlton or the TN guy are only LDEs. We have guys that can rush from DT position
Does it really matter which side we get a rush from?

most of these guys in the draft especially at the top are LDEs. Really the only one thats uninjured and in the are area dallas will draft in RD1 is Harris. And i really dont think he'd start over Mayowa, since i think Dallas wants to move Lawrence back to LDE. Takkarist would be a nice pickup but he's out for 6months. So he wouldnt be back until september. Starting the yr on the PUP? Think Dallas would be better off going inside with a guy like Brantley at the 1tech in round 1 and bringing in a vet DE. Reports Ware wants a return to Dallas, rotating with Mayowa would be a good thing.
It's not about starting week 1. It's not even about starting week 17, we have a rotation here. Harris would get plenty of opportunities to take Mayowas playing time. If he's there he better be the pick

This is by far the best pass rushing draft I've ever seen.

Yea, I really try to temper my excitement. I'm not sure if our great need for a DE is effecting how I view the draft, but imo there are several guys who can make an impact year 1 who should be available at 28

I always get confused between the right and left defensive ends. Is the right side the right end looking at the defense from behind?

Oh, let's see, Mailk Collins and Byron Jones have looked pretty decent last year.
I wouldn't disregard either of them.

Jones has looked like a first round difference maker?

He's had one INT in two years staring 16 games and even that was a wounded duck he grabbed to end the first half.

Collins looked like a great JAG for a 3rd round pick.

Take off your cowboys fan glasses on and realize we need some difference makers. Outside of lee no one is making offensive coordinators make sure to check them.

Yep. If you're looking from defensive point of view, right end is on the right. They're opposite the Left Tackle. Haha.

Basically they look for a specific "type" there since most QB's are right handed, and it's their blindside.

This is by far the best pass rushing draft I've ever seen.

Yeah, I was pretty confused at the original post. No class has generational pass rushers up and down the draft.

But the depth in this draft is insane. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if more than a few mid round picks end up being highly productive.

If you judge MCollins as a great Jag then I'll read your future post with a grain of salt

Was wondering when 1Tech in the first round conversation would begin. Despite this team not valuing 1T early in this scheme (rightly or wrongly iis immaterial).

I forgot we all need to remind ourselves of the top 10 or even top 20 stats they put in their position to warrant not being labeled a JAG

Hey if you think our defense currently can win a super bowl I salute you friend. I'm sure coach rod thinks the same in a very small room that y'all shoot the breeze in

Yeah I agree there just isn't going to be any real immediate help in this draft. It is going to be be pretty much the same this year unless Tapper does something miraculous.
I have high hopes for Tapper. I really hope it works out for him and the team.

You fail in a draft when you force a draft.
If you go in to a draft targeting to immediately address your obvious weakness and reach for that player, the end result is that you still more than likely have a miss there.
This team has several options with that first pick,, the conversation is always about the first pick,, it the easiest pick if you just stick to the simple philosophy.. BPA.
I see this team addressing RDE at some point in the draft with a more rational solution, but at 28 taking a starter, could be LB, WR, TE, OL/RT, DB,,, does it really matter?
Just don't reach for any position at 28, just take the best on the board regardless, and we will take the next step towards a playoff win,,, we need to digress from anointing this team right now as a Super Bowl attender, and focus on winning a playoff game first, and taking a day one starter should be attainable with the first pick, considering how many obvious holes this team has in several areas.

If the best available is Watson do you take him?
