That's fair enogh but Glenn has shown no signs of losing any speed or quickness yet.

It seems to be that speed players at WR and CB seem to be able to maintain their speed well into their 30s now (different situation at RB/TE where players get pounded) so I'm not sure how much we need to be concerned about this. The more worrying issue with Glenn would be injury.

However, if we keep using him as we do now and avoid him having to work the middle of the field he could be successful for quite a few more years.

The thing that I like about bringing in TO is how many 1-on-1 situations that would put Glenn in. We have routinely seen him get open deep with his great burst when is isolated out there.

There have been some fast guys that maintained their speed until late in their careers.
First guy I think of is Cliff Branch. He was still blowing by people when he was 35. Rice, Tim Brown, Lofton (Darryl Green too) could still get down the field as older players. Glenn might be like that, too.
Of course these guys were all exceptions so its not anything you can plan on.

I think some of you are worrying about Key trying to re-work his deal, a little too much, his coach is Parcells, both have a great understanding of each other, and mutual respect, I seriously doubt Key acts like an ******* in re-negotiations

Parcells is the head coach, not the GM. He's not going to be involved in negotiations, and it's likely Keyshawn isn't, as well.

I think Michael Irvin's words still haunt us. We have some great #2 receivers but we still don't have a legit #1. Look at Glenn's numbers the last 4 games when teams have caught on. He was practically shut down against the Eagles with two man on him. He's not the kind of receiver like Irvin and TO who can still succeed against that type of coverage. I know folks hate TO, but I'd feel a lot safer with him on board. We're an easy team to figure out if the running game ain't working.
Not that this means much TBC, but I agree w/ you about pursuing TO for next season. If TO is willing to be on a short leash w/ the 'Boys, then I'd love to have him here. He just might do it to spite the Eagles don't ya think? A one year contact based on incentives would be my way to go w/ TO. A very short leash.....

You gotta be in it to win it. If TO can help us get to the SB, I'd take my chances w/ him.....at least for a year.....

Agree completely 5mics. I can't say what he'll be like after next year, but I think one team in this league is going to get a hell of a bargain in 2006. Is TO a jerk? Yep. But I really think he's learned his lesson, at least for one year. One team in this league is going to get the 2004 TO. The one who turned a QB who rarely averaged more than 20 TDs or 3,000 yards into a 30 TD and 4,000 yard guy. If it's an NFC East team, more the better, he'll be like Randy Moss against the Cowboys his rookie year.... playing on pure spite. I don't think he thought he would be suspended and is ready to go out and prove his critics wrong. Now that he's scared away buyers, we don't have to worry about giving an old receiver some crazy cap killing salary, and could get away with a cheap one year contract, or maybe a multi-year contract that doesn't kill the cap much. The TO to watch out for will be the 2007 TO who is even closer to 35 and wants a new contract now that he's proven he can be a team player again. Cowboys fans are going to hate him from day one, but they'll get over it and cheer for him just like they did Keyshawn, Deion and other prima donnas. The more I look at it, I think it's a win-win situation.

I would sure hate to lose both Key and Glenn. Neither of them are gamebreakers, but they are good weapons that can get you some wins. Unless there is a lot better talent out there, I'd hate to lose either of them.

Also, with the lack of playing time Price is getting, I doubt he'd re-sign with us, as well. So, I'd highly doubt Parcells would be okay with letting three of our four receivers walk this offseason.

Plus, what if we let both Key and Glenn go, sign T.O. and he starts his crap up? We'd have no one else other than Crayton who's worth a damn.

Peerless Price is pretty damn good too, he just isnt getting his number called (yet).

Glenn won't leave Bledsoe and Parcells. Keyshaun might be foolish enough to jump for the money though. And if it's Glenn and TO, Bledsoe will throw for 6,000 yds and 50 touchdowns.

that's what the eagles said, look at them now...no rings and a schlitload of turmoil

America's team needs new currency that says.."In Bill We Trust". There is no way that TO would pull the crap on Parcells that he pulled on Reid. Look at the headcases he has brought in and turned around. Keyshawn, Glenn, Brian Cox, etc, etc. Parcells would keep the peace with TO. Reid has a clubhouse full of primadonnas, TO was just the scapegoat.
