Bash him all you want. Just shows ignorance. Drives up the post counts though, eh?

Now my turn.. People can find the world wrong with Bill Parcells BUT NOBODY CAN FIND A SINGLE THING WRONG WITH Terry Glenn?? The guy mocked US Soldiers.. IN PERSON. He tried to egg on our #1 WR ALL LAST YEAR through the press. (God only knows what he was doing behind the scenes). He's smuggly made an issue of his "quality" each and every year he's been here. And usually doing that in a very negative manor, as if he absolutely needs to be #1 or die- even though before here he's never truly been a #1 his entire career. Yada, yada, yada- on and on and on. Parcells didn't take us to the Super Bowl. That's the subject constantly. Meanwhile Mr. Career Cancer, Terry Glenn, who can only be controlled by this man so many find cool to hate these days is gone, and the former is all anyone can talk about. Oh wait, that's right, his best season is coming........... God I've heard that alot since he's gotten here. Reunited with his old coach, Terry's gonna light it up like he's never done in his career! Quincy's finally gone and Vinny's here, now someone that truly knows what Parcells is doing will light it up with Parcells other guy, Glenn- alongside Key, the perfect combo! Drew Bledsoe has arrived, OMIGOD, Glenn and he used to be together and had SO MUCH SUCESS, it's a given, Terry will have the best season of his career this year! This TO signing is just the absolute greatest thing that could ever happen for Terry Glenn, with all the attention across the field, Terry IS GOING TO LIGHT IT UP! And then here we are again......... Which I'm sure someone will come out and say Parcells was actually the one hodling him back. *Yawn* Parcells put up with headcases like these and made them better players while noone else would. One man's trash is another man's treasure, as the old saying goes. Well face it, most of his teams were "trash" marked by most, and Bill gave them 2nd chances. He got the most out of headcases and that's what's going to get him in the Hall.

Dude what is your beef with Terry Glenn. You are absurd with these comments.

Glenn never complains and never bashes anyone. He hasnt had any problems since he has been here, and the real problem he had in new england was with bellichick and ultimately money. Lots of people seem to have that same problem with Bellichick.

You are constantly talking about glenn in all these different threads, none of them are even about glenn, its comical.

Exactly what has glenn done wrong and what is he going to screw up this year.

Some people are severely underrating Parcells here.
How come when Parcells is criticized people react in shock and disbelief? You want to see a coach get the job done from the ground up....see Jimmy Johnson. We were much worse off when he took over than we were when Parcells took over. He acquired some nice pieces...and we won SOME big games. But in year 4...with a weak NFC...we should have gone farther that we did. We smashed the Texans, Bucs, Titans, and Cards of the world. But how did we play against the Eagles, Giants, Commanders, Saints of the world. How did we fare against playoff teams. This team was not turning the corner with him at the helm. People need to realize that and move on. It's over. We are the Dallas Cowboys...improving from 5-11 to 9-7 in 4 years IS NOTHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT!!!!! Especially when the guy was paid a king's ransom and was given COMPLETE control of the operation.

Emmitt Smith was Jerry Jones' pick. Even Jimmy Johnson didn't have full control of the team. No head coach hired by Jones ever has and I wish people would move on by finally realizing that fact.

How lucky was he without LT? Or how many SB trophies did he win without LT? How many would he have won if Scott Norwood hits that FG.

Yea, he was REALLY REALLY lucky. Lucky he had LT for a few years.

That's the lamest excuse I've ever heard as to why Parcells sucks. Now it's LT made him. I guess Parcells was given a handicap by all the other coaches in the league. They let him draft LT. Then LT coached Parcells up getting him to use him in the 3-4. And showed Parcells how to use him in a unique way. Then taught him the social skills to handle the league and press so he could continue to abuse cocaine. Yep, Parcells should get LT to present him at the HOF. Because Parcells would be JAC (just another coach) without him.

Parcells was more important to LT than LT was to Parcells.

And you guys are not think about how much Parcells had taught Jerry about how to run a football team. He was only here for 4 years but he left a mark on the team that will last as long as Jerry is the Owner. Imagine instead of hiring Parcells we promoted Mike Zimmer or hired D. Green

Great point. The Zimmer one is definitely funny but only because its so true. This organization went from laughing stock to superior in four years. And the major variable was Parcells.

I don't understand why people feel the need to minimize Parcell's contributions by bashing him.

Why can't we just leave it at:
Parcells was a good coach and a very good compiler of talent. He took us from almost talentless to talent filled in 4 years. We underachieved by all of our expectations but we ARE better off from him being our Head Coach.

He left the team better than when he arrived. I commend him for his good contributions to the Cowboys organization and I look forward to seeing the team move forward in another direction with the talent that he compiled.

I honestly think BP is better suited for GM or scouting director.

It's just as fair to criticize as it is to give credit. He deserved both.

True, but I don't give credit in every post that I criticize and I don't criticize in every post that I give credit, but I do both give credit and criticize.
