Real Football Network Mock Draft

Kirwin

4. DALLAS-Jared Goff, QB, California Tony Romo has had three surgeries on his collarbone and it is time to invest in the future. Goff had a good Combine and is worthy of this spot in the first round. Many Dallas fans want a ‘now’ player like Joey Bosa, but remember, the team went 1-11 without Romo.

Miller

4. Dallas – Jared Goff, QB, California
Anticipatory pocket passer who fits well with how Jason Garrett wants the position to be played. He can sit and learn behind Romo, but teams are concerned about his hand size at the Combine. Goff could drop.

Typical Dallas in these mocks. Bosa, Goff or play Ramsey at his worst position. Thats my Cowboys

Ramsey has a lot of upside at corner.

He's the best corner in this draft and he has just scratched his potential there.

Also, he saves us about 6 or 7 mill a year on paying a corner if he plays at a high level which I think he will.

Ramsey is a special player and the 2nd best player currently in this draft.

If I'm Dallas and I see Ramsey as a CB then it would be hard to pass on him
The question is what position he is

You are bagging on the Cowboys for what some other media or draft pundits have in their mock drafts for the Cowboys to take.

 Dude

We both know theyll make Ramsey a cb. And I dont want Bosa or Goff or Buckner. Its Ramsey at safety or Jack as safety/linebacker.

Can I send Likes to Kirwin and Miller ?

Ask yourself this:

Can I get a starter at any position other than quarterback where I have a need in free agency?

The answer is yes. If you have the cap space, you can fill any need.

Now ask yourself if you can get a starting quarterback? The answer is no.

Saving $6 or $7 million a year in a cornerback is a drop in the bucket in my opinion when Kaepernick, Dalton, and Tannehill are getting contracts for $100 million and guys like Cousins and Bradford are being paid over $18 million a year.

You don't have to convince me on a QB.

But...

I'd probably take Ramsey over Goff. I'm not sold on Goffs potential.

I went into the draft anti DB with the top pick.

I looked at what is projected to go high and the talent gap between Bosa and Ramsey is pretty wide imo.

Now some are high on Myles Jack but I'm not spending a top 5 pick on a 4-3 LB.

Also, the most important thing, I watched Ramsey play. No he didn't make a zillion interceptions but he impacted games.

You cant compare this guy to Mo either because Ramsey is a physical football player. He'll stop the run and not get bullied.

Why not? I. Seeing a guy who has steadily continued to improve throughout his career. Every one of the key statistics have improved dramatically. Any company would be ecstatic to put them on a chart!

He reminds me of another Cal quarterback. He was also the consensus top pick leading up to the draft. And then suddenly, another guy became the hot commodity and that guy ended up falling all the way to #24. Luckily for him though, his story had a happy ending.
