Ramsey has a lot of upside at corner.

He's the best corner in this draft and he has just scratched his potential there.

Also, he saves us about 6 or 7 mill a year on paying a corner if he plays at a high level which I think he will.

Ramsey is a special player and the 2nd best player currently in this draft.

Playing Ramsey at corner is a waste of his physical talent.

Why not? I. Seeing a guy who has steadily continued to improve throughout his career. Every one of the key statistics have improved dramatically. Any company would be ecstatic to put them on a chart!

He reminds me of another Cal quarterback. He was also the consensus top pick leading up to the draft. And then suddenly, another guy became the hot commodity and that guy ended up falling all the way to #24. Luckily for him though, his story had a happy ending.

Just a preference thing.. I'm not wow'd by Goff.

QB is the hardest position to project though so he may come in and be really good but I view him as a 25-28 td passes a season kind of guy.

I don't hate Goff but I don't think he is special.

I'm all in on Goff. I have made peace with Wentz and would understand the pick.

As far as Bosa, Ramsey, and Jack....

I imagine the defense with those players added.

I feel Ramsey is an impactful player. Huge upgrade over Claiborne, Carr, etc. I like the idea of he and Byron being able to match-up on the various offensive weapons we face all year. I think he takes away your #1 (no one ever truly takes out a player) and allows you to do some different things with your coverage.

I feel Jack is a playmaker. The idea of him and Lee flying over the field, gets me excited about the defense. He covers well, rushes the passer well, hits people, etc.

Then I see Bosa as a guy who will improve the LDE spot but not necessarily a huge difference maker. I see him closer to Chris Long or Michael Bennett than he is to J.J. Watt. They make you better but do they make a difference?

Right now I'm:

1. Goff
2. Ramsey
3. Jack
4. Trade down
5. Wentz
6. Bosa
* I didn't include Tunsil because I expect him to be gone. If he is there at 4 (and Goff isn't), we should be trading down for sure.

Well, if it comes down to that, it doesn't sound like something I'd be able to talk you out of, no matter what I showed you otherwise.

Based on what? Compared to who?

Tunsil, Ramsey, Elliott, Buckner, Jack just to name a few are better players than Any of the QBs and I'm basing it off the tape and my eyes right now not 3-4 yrs from now because I cant bank on that right now and plus our QB is n Clemson right now.. and don't kill me for hoping right now id rather take Prescott in 4th

No disrespect, but with 1 career sack, how does Myles Jack "rush the passer well"?

Sure you are.

And putting in as much effort there as you are with these insightful posts I'm sure.

Pressures. If you go back and watch his freshman year, he was playing LOLB in UCLA's 3-4. He didn't rush often but when he did, he pressured QB's and/or forced them into Anthony Barr's waiting arms.

As you all know, I'm all in at QB. I'd take either Wentz or Goff. If not........

Ramsey - I would only like this pick if we pick up a guy like Mario Williams as a free agent and a top D-lineman at #34. If we don't have a pass rush, Ramsey won't be a whole lot better than the guys we had last year. He would have to be part of a package to make a big difference. If you can disrupt the QB on a consistent basis, I can see Ramsey as a difference maker.

Jack - If this guy is the next Luke Kuechly, take him. His reviews are pretty good. Sounds like he can do pretty much anything you ask of him.

Bosa - Not interested. Not enough of a difference maker at #4.

Buckner - Not interested. No more dumb players.

Do not trade down if your QB is there at #4. If he isn't a trade down for Elliot or a Shaq Lawson is fine.

You threw out a list of players. Nothing more. There's nothing supporting your position other than your opinion.

And for the record, there's not one of those players on that list that doesn't have at least as many question marks about them as the top two quarterbacks do, if not more.

How many quarterback pressures did he have?

Not sure. Wasn't my turn to keep stats that year.

I would say enough to know that he can do it from the 8 or 9 Bruin games I watched that year.

So, something that can't be accurately measured then? Got it. Doesn't say "rush the passer well" to me.

I want absolutely nothing to do with this guy who's simply "projected" to do everything while not actually "doing" any of it.

We should only draft guys from Texas Tech, West Virginia, and Washington State then.

Those guys get stats.

The draft is a projection. The good teams are better at projecting than others.

The draft is a projection based off of what players have done. Not what you hope they can do. If you draft guys off of what you're hoping, you'll be out of a job soon enough.

Myles has done Jack.

Isnt that what we do here state our opinion? at least that's what i thought at least with this being a forum and all and there are questions about everybody in the draft so that's and obvious point is who is Best Player
