Realistic contract for Shultz

If and when we sign him, what kind of deal is he worth?? I say 4 years 16-20 million???

I believe he’s going to play on the tag and we’ll find out after the season what the Cowboys want to do with him. With Blake Jarwin’s injury they were forced to franchise him. We’ve already lost Cooper and Cedrick Wilson and Gallup isn’t likely to be ready for the start of the regular season so we couldn’t afford to lose Schultz.

Erase, replace. Embrace new face.

Zeke doesn't have an effective stiff arm. Dak has low arching fastballs. If you add in a TE that can't block, your offense is going to shoot itself in the foot several times a game behind these guys.

Why this front office insist on paying players that have chinks in their armor is beyond me. Draft and pay the guys with zero negatives for a change.

Booger and Chuckles pay their own....no decisions to fret over....just plow ahead with another brain dead re-up.

People here complain about Stephen's low-balling, then come on here low balling even worse.

Reality is Schutz is worth $12 to $14 million now, more if they wait next season.

I truly hope this guy is exposed for what he actually IS this season.

I mean, I'm rooting for those extra five pounds to mean as much as everyone else is, but....

Yeah I know, all those catches.....who could ever grab a check down?? McKeon would have dropped most of those, yes?

Did they vote on PPR at the owners meetings yet?

That just the reality
I think the tag was really smart and once they decided to part with cooper it became impossible not to keep him
Now they have the option if they do hit on a guy in the draft or find another option to move on
But they were not dumb enough to let 2 of top 3 receivers walk

They actually didn’t pay him
They could have paid him market value but decided to tag him for one year
We will see if they pay him but it would have been insane to let cooper and Schultz walk

Schultz stated during the first off-season workout Monday that he's hoping a longterm deal can be worked out with the Cowboys before the July 15th FA signing deadline.

It’s going to come down to what his asking price is. If it’s team friendly it could happen. There’s still plenty of time we’ll just have to see what happens.

Shultz actually has chance at being a 90+ catch player this season. With Gallup injured Dak will probably be throwing the football to Shultz more then anyone. He will at least earn his tag money this season.
