like I said, I do agree Johnson is done

However we did win the game that he started against a )then) very good Tampa team, and one of the reasons we won is because he didnt throw 3 balls to the other team or fumble every time he was hit...

Losman does alot of both of those...I dont care how far he can throw it, he is as dumb as a brick and in college and the pros you see reports of teammates and coaches not liking the guy at all.

Boller might be interesting as a backup.
I do because it keeps the opposing defense honest. It's pretty easy to defend a qb when you know he can't throw deep. Plus the fact that Lohsman is mobile. There were times in those games Johnson started where he was completely missing receivers or under throwing them.

If San Francisco cuts ties with Alex Smith he goes to the top of my list of possible Romo back-up's.

Smith needs a good solid QB coach to work with him. He may never develop into what he was expected to but he has considerable potential as a Dilfer type career backup and sometimes starter.

I expect Smith to go wherever Norv Turner is (I still don't buy that Norv is keeping his job in SD)

What's it going to be then, eh?

Then there is no reason for him to come here then.

It is time to use those 11 picks and bring in some youth that is hungry to win. Maybe the young guys can push some of these stars into caring again.

Except for QB the position, veterans don't really listen to or care much for rookies. Veterans listen to other veterans...Pro Bowl/All Pro veterans to be exact.

Wishful thinking...

So your reasoning for why Brad was good for us is because he won ONE game where he didn't turn the ball over? Nevermind that he had 3 ints the game before than and a whopping 70 yards passing the game after.

I'm sure J.P. has also gone ONE game without turning the ball over that resulted in a win as well.

Boller has a history of being as mistake prone as J.P. so clearly you've decided you've got some bias against the guy, which isn't particularly useful when discussing realistic scenarios.

Some good posts here. I think Ray Lewis would plug a hole and provide leadership. I don't see him coming here but staying in Balt. Alex Smith might be a good backup for Romo. Where's his head at now? JP Losman needs the same as Romo but he's got skills. Boller is an athlete who needs a coach, too. At least some of these guys has some game.

If we could get Brian Dawkins here that's more leadership at a need position. I think they are going to see what RW can do though.

This would be a good time to find some players in FA. They don't have to be stars. We just need to continue to draft well.
