Beasley is still Beasley. His sauce is still hot.Beasley is 30...l am seeing Switzer in that light?
So what exactly is your Genius Plan. Couldnt get a real understanding, with all that hypothetical garbage you posted. Your telling me your sonehow enlightened because you see the big picture.i dont hear you disputing facts. are you a fan like the eagles that play to win sunday, or are you a fan of a dynasty. I am the build a dysnasty person. Does that mean im less of a fan? no, means i see it differenty. You want to high fan your buds at the local pub, join the bills, or the eagles, or even the Cardinals. Some teams are about winning and filling their stadiums, they dont make the goal to reach the SB, if they do, great, if not no big deal. Dallas however is a team above the rest.
Im sorry if my achieving is not up to your standards. Maybe if i come down to "dude we won today" you' ll be happier.
Whats Beasley have to do with Switzer. If you cant picture us using Switzer . . Then you my friend have no IMAGINATIONWith Marinelli's rotational defensive scheme, "starting" isn't really that big a deal. All the defensive rookies will get time on the field. I know a lot of posters here like the Switzer pick and I'd like him too if we didn't already have Beasley. He'll be the guy that definitely won't start and I don't see how we use him a whole lot.
Obviously, they are the same mold of player. Maybe the Cowboys do rip off the Pats and adopt a two slot WR scheme. My lack of imagination may very well be the issue here, but we'll see if that is in fact the case soon enough.Whats Beasley have to do with Switzer. If you cant picture us using Switzer . . you would be absolutely right, if Dallas did what i suggest this offseason and just brought in a new regime. Young QB, great RB, healthy Oline, talent to catch the ball. What do we do, throw away the defense in the hopes its ready in a year or two. Bad planning by Dallas. Should have just brought in a new HC, young and be here for years and can match the other HCs in our divsion. Nope, we go with a vet coach whos been outcoaches by rookies HCs and cant duel with the best of them.
Jason Garrett has proven to the league, hes an average HC who needs talent at every position to make it work. Ok fine, thats a lot of the coaches, but when the roster is sub par, JG cant step up to the plate. THats fact Now you put steak at every position and hes still struggling but has a better chance. Now we backed up the D some, an older DC, and really i dont know if we are grooming our next DC, if we are great, if not, they will bring in hteir own ideals, and if Garrett is somehow pushed out than the next guy should have the right to bring in his own guys and that WILL set the defense back even further. Bad timing while trying your best to be bad. Thats what Dallas did.
Now we are back to gambling, much like they did with Romo and much like even they admitted gambled on Troys health. All bad bets.
The timing was right to bring in a new young regime, now we are set back, on possible set back on the possibilty of another set back. at some point, bring in the flame throw and burn it down the ground or we can all happily whistle and defend this mess. Either way, depending if the NFC east gifts us again, i dont expect the GIants or Eagles to roll over. Skins are still competitive and Dallas has to push harder this season than last and i dont know if Garrett has it in him.
Throw the young studs out to the wolves and lets who emerges as a starter, because lets face it, this season is up for grabs. What do you have to lose? 8-8, 12-4, just as much a gamble as 2-14, because the NFL as changed its face and barring injuries, most teams are competitive each week and most teams step up to play Dallas harder.
So what exactly is your Genius Plan. Couldnt get a real understanding, with all that hypothetical garbage you posted. Your telling me your sonehow enlightened because you see the big picture.
You want me to believe I get it all wrong because I wanna see the Cowboys win every week like the average fan.
But you are the 1 who understands it better because your the only one who knows that we should really be routing for Cowboys to lose.
Is this a correct assessment?
What do you think this is Madden?
Wow this is delusional at it's finest. Just sit back junior and watch the cowboys storm the league for the next decade.
Who can say? At the end of the day anyone you draft is a potential. You'd like to think that your first round draft pick is a Day 1 starter. QB excluded in most cases. But sometimes it doesn't turn out that way. It really depends on the person.
That's why I like Jason Garrett's approach. Draft smart players with good football IQ. Talent isn't everything. Although talent is important as well. Its the complete package you're looking for. You can have all the talent in the world. And never see the field in the NFL because you are stupid and can't make the leap from being an amateur to a pro.
That's actually one of the reasons taking Dez Bryant was such a risk in the first round when we did it. And it took him a while. 2 or 3 seasons for the light bulb to start getting brighter and for him to not really need "handlers" anymore.
We should know a lot more about how well we did with all that later in the summer. So far, I'm liking what I've seen.
NFL[edit]
Manley was drafted in the fifth round (119th overall) of the 1981 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders, where he played for nine seasons. During his career with the Commanders, Manley won two Super Bowl titles and was a Pro Bowler in 1986 when he recorded a Commanders single season record 18.5 sacks. In 1989, Manley failed his third drug test, with an opportunity to apply for reinstatement after one year.[2] He then played for the Phoenix Cardinals and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, after he failed his fourth drug test, he retired on December 12, 1991.[3][1]
Officially, Manley had 97.5 quarterback sacks in his career. His total rises to 103.5 when the six sacks he had his rookie year of 1981, when sacks were not yet an official statistic, are included.[4] After his career in the United States ended, he revealed that he was functionally illiterate, despite having studied at Oklahoma State University for four years.[5]
lol, yea, learn your history, Dallas has said that twice already, look at the results. you want to play with the big boys, gotta change your tactics. The steelers, patriots and Giants have all done it while Dallas has sat back and watched. Now again, you MIGHT enjoy it. i dont care for it and expect more from this organization. But you keep clapping the mediocrity.
You must be blind anybody can see how we are building the right way not overpaying FA and the sky is the limit with all this talent we have now. Stop living in the past the future is now. Steelers haven't won in 9 years and giants in 6 so they're not shining examples btw and Don't use the pats because they are beyond EVERYBODY. I hoever will be enjoying this new era you can keep sucking on sour lemons
