Umm .. Dîdnt they beat the Giants? In New York?

I think it's possible that the poster was referring to the fact that the Cowboys dug a big hole for themselves in that game before coming back to take it late...

Valid point I believe but does that equal the team / coach wasnt prepared or that they ran into a division opponent who was extremely desperate to win at their home stadium and break a losing streak? I get it we are a society of over reactors and our fan base hosts the mother load of that group

Not necessarily unprepared, but unable to take control of the game early...

I've got a feeling Seattle will spank Philly next week, and we will bounce back with a victory against Chicago. Then we've got 10 days to prepare for a rematch. I will ride with our guys on this.

Yea, the team really looked focused on the Eagles..........Garrett really had them ready for the game............I guess that is why Jerry said the team looked totally disinterested and had no passion and enthusiasm for the game.

When the owner of the team basically says the other team wanted it more................direct indictment against the coaching staff.

The team looked tired....as will happen when you get the biggest scheduling shaft in NFL history (not hyperbole. Fact).

And they got beat handily. Those things happen in a long season. Broncos and Patriots and Packers all have losses where they looked like "the other team wanted it more."

In reality...the other team gets paid too.

Like Garrett....look at the game unemotionally...win or lose...and move on.

Romo is a better player than he showed. Our offensive line is better than they showed. Our coaching staff is better than they showed.

But yeah let's use this game as a referendum on our season and not...say...the Seahawks game? Because that makes sense?

So wait. If we don't win and dominate every game then we aren't focused on our opponent?

Maybe its better if we weren't focused?Otherwise we just straight up got our socks beat off. Lack of focus and preparation can be corrected. But if Philly is just that much better than us, well then season over. Which one do you want it to be?

Sometimes you just get beat. And sometimes it doesn't mean anything more than the other team was just better on the day.

That's a false dichotomy. It's perfectly possible that we were ready, things didn't go our way and the game got out of hand. Then in the next match things go in our favor while being just as focused as before.

Binary thinking will lead one to false assumptions.

Possible, but is it likely?

Sometimes that's right, but what happened Thursday? We were stubbornly unprepared to handle the Commanders blitz. Do you really think we just had an off day against the Eagles?
