It's highly possible the Eagles are just better across the board.
Possible, but is it likely?
Is that true? If the Cowboys beat the Eagles in the next game and beat the Skins and the Eagles lose to either the Skins or Giants, then they are both 4-2 in the division. Who has the tie breaker in that situation?Fans will say, "Just win and none of this tiebreaker stuff matters!"............except, of course, we all know Dallas isn't going to just keep on winning. We'll be very lucky to be end up 11-5.
The Eagles are 3-0 in the NFC East. The Cowboys are 2-2.
For Dallas to win the division tiebreaker, the Cowboys would have to go undefeated over their remaining division games to finish 4-2 while the Eagles would have to go winless over their remaining division games to finish 3-3. Not going to happen, really.

If Seattle beats Philly, they will win their division. That's not a good thing.
I don't. Seattle will need more than that popgun offense to win In Philly. Washington has a shot, and maybe us. They've been dominant at home winning their last 10 games.

For the Cowboys to overtake the Eagles directly via superior win-loss record, they'd need some unlikely Eagles collapse. For Dallas to be 12-4 and Philly 11-5, for instance, the Cowboys would have to finish 4-0 and the Eagles finish 2-2. Or the Cowboys could go 3-1, but the Eagles would have to go 1-3.
So let's look at the wild cards.
We really need Arizona to keep on winning. We don't want the Cardinals to fall to the wild card level, because they hold the tiebreaker over Dallas. If the Cardinals fall to the wild card level, the Cowboys could get ejected from a playoff berth.
We want San Francisco to keep on losing. They hold the tiebreaker over Dallas. Right now Dallas is 8-4 and San Fran is 7-5, so let's keep things that way; them a game below us. We want Detroit and Seattle to keep on losing.
Again, if we keep winning, the division title might be ours - but let's be frank: The wild card playoff berth is, realistically, where it's at.
I agree 100% which is why we all have to be EAGLES FANS next week when they play seattle
I fully expect Seattle to win a road game against Sanchez. Which means If we take care of business, we will be playing for the division lead in 15 days.
Chicago worries me though. Cutler will eat this defense up
Never.
Especially after they rubbed our noses in it.
As much talk about what makes a "real fan" there is on this board, I cannot fathom how anyone would ever root for a hated rival with this much football to be played.
I get it rooting for them on say the last week of the season.
But this is insane.

The team looked tired....as will happen when you get the biggest scheduling shaft in NFL history (not hyperbole. Fact).
And they got beat handily. Those things happen in a long season. Broncos and Patriots and Packers all have losses where they looked like "the other team wanted it more."
In reality...the other team gets paid too.
Like Garrett....look at the game unemotionally...win or lose...and move on.
Romo is a better player than he showed. Our offensive line is better than they showed. Our coaching staff is better than they showed.
But yeah let's use this game as a referendum on our season and not...say...the Seahawks game? Because that makes sense?
Maybe its better if we weren't focused?Otherwise we just straight up got our socks beat off. Lack of focus and preparation can be corrected. But if Philly is just that much better than us, well then season over. Which one do you want it to be?
Its quite a dilemma for the pro Garrett crowd...............two options
A. The team is unprepared and unfocused and had no enthusiasm for the game (per Jerry), which is a direct shot against Garrett not having his team ready to play.
B. Garrett had the team ready to play and Philly is just that much better than we are. This looks bad because in 2 seasons Chip Kelly has built a team that totally dominates us while Opie is working on the "half a decade plan" to a winning season.
Yes, quite a dilemma indeed.
No matter what, It looks like we will not get in at 10-6 unless Seattle, Philly or Detroit lose some game where they are the heavy favorite. We can only lose one more game if we want to get it the tournament.
