Philly will lose in SEA next week, and if Dallas beats then the week after back in first place. Whats with all this realistic talk?

For some bizarre reason, Dallas is a much, much better team on the road this year. They should show up at Chicago and at Philly.

Philly won't win vs Seattle. I'm hoping our staff takes notes on what they do on defense and also look at what we did last season when we shut them down.

It looked like the coaches - or Tony - didn't have much faith in Tony's ability to throw the ball, and that hurt the running game on Thanksgiving. I think having a week to rest will help him get his back ready to play against the Bears, then with 10 days of rest before the Eagles he'll be in good enough shape to get us where we need to be. After that Seattle can deliver the coup de grace to Philly and we will have to outscore the Colts. A little revenge against the Commanders, and we're off to the playoffs with a four game winning streak. What could go wrong? :)

The problem with that philosophy is this:

No matter what happened during that first game vs philly last year, Chip has learned and adjusted. He adjusts play by play. He preaches repitition and constant execution...and 'trains' his players.

I don't see another blowout by the Eagles either. It will be a closer game. But he is the better coach by far.

It'll be a closer game that our boys will win. They have 10 days to prep and mentally re live Thursday's performance. They will see the biggest problem was gap discipline and it consequently resulted in opening their run; resulting in opening up their entire playbook. Stop the run first and press the receivers. When we play zone, we don't jump any routes and often times the first read is typically open underneath. Our flawed approach and lack of execution will be addressed in the rematch.

Seattle has talent on defense so even if the Cowboys try to mimic what Seattle does to Philly, they won't have the same success.

It won't matter anyway. Andy Reid had the same game plan week in and week out. Chip Kelly's doesn't

Somebody should sabotage Jerry World and force them to move the home games to another venue.;)

Didn't we hold them with no TD last season when we historically had the worst defense? They can look and see how they stay disciplined in their assignemnts to stop the run. Stop the run and force Sanchez to throw against a press coverage vs zone.

I fully expect Seattle to win a road game against Sanchez. Which means If we take care of business, we will be playing for the division lead in 15 days.

Chicago worries me though. Cutler will eat this defense up

This Chicago game will tell us a lot. If we want to make a run it starts in the Windy City

Watch that game again, Foles had many open receivers to throw to and he just flat out sucked. That game had more to do with how bad Foles was, the guy only had 80 yards passing for the entire game.

His throws were bad because we gave him a smaller window to throw to. On top of that we stopped their run game.

You picked the one team above 500 we beat all year............and the only team above 500 we beat.............to use as a referendum on our season instead of Philly?

Who is cherry picking now?

Holy irony Batman!

Cherry picking was the point.

Think about what I did there. And what i'm criticizing you for.

Yes, their run game couldn't get going but the smaller windows had nothing to do with Foles under throwing and over throwing wide open receivers all game.

San Francisco has a tough schedule. I don't see them catching us unless we fall apart. That means we just have to keep pace with Seattle.

You also said they weren't going to win in Dallas too. So much for that, I guess.

Also worth mentioning that while the Cowboys are 5-0 on the road, the Eagles are 6-0 at home and the Linc has become an actual home field advantage compared to the awful HFA it was before this year. I expect a closer game because the Cowboys straight got their doors blown off a few days ago (which was great, btw) but I don't see that happening again although I still do see the Eagles winning the game.

Stopping their run game had a lot to do with their passing attack. We basically were step by step with their receivers most of the game. We forced him to make bad throws. We put the game in the QB's hand and prevailed. They even used a quick highlight replay on how all of our DBs were stride for stride with their receivers most of the game.
