Really bad feeling

Oddly, I am not. I was sweatin' bullets last week, but I am not feeling the pressure this time around. All the pressure has subsided, and is now on the Vikings. Our guys are confident, and I honestly believe we will kick their butts. I bet we win by at least two touchdowns.

The two teams that had great games in the Wild Card rounds last week. Well are sitting at home, and well I've got nothing to look forward too. Lets be honest the media is getting what they want and the idiotic fans will too. We cant ever win...

It's all the media stuff making people nervous. My advice is to think about this team and how good our defense is, and it's up to our defense to win this game, that's right, the defense.

Our offense is great, but we must take the fight out of the dog and the crowd by keeping that team in check defensively.

I really expected one of the games to be a loss for the home team.
That bothers me a bit - because of the Dome.
I hope the preparation for the noise has been adequate. This along with our penalties are my concern. Ok, maybe a turnover or 2 also.

I still believe our personnel are better overall, and I have to believe in our D.
So -GO COWBOYS!! Let's win this one and than concentrate hard on the 'aints.

Opps - forgot - it seems the home teams got some big time help from the officials yesterday too. That really makes me nervous.

In one sense, the fact both home teams won today gives me hope. Surely all four home teams don't advance, do they?

On the other hand, this much also became clear: We can absolutely expect Minnesota's best tomorrow. The notion of rust, I think, is out the window.

What happened in the other games has no bearing on tomorrow's game.

For the record:

Our Defense>>>>>>>>>>> Cardinals D

Our Offense>>>>>>>>>> Ravens offense

You've got to had it tp Peyton, having the guys do 2-a-days on Sat, like a camp practice, and then full pads to get them ready for a tough, physical game. That hit on Warner during the INT runback was a game-changer. He wasn't the same after that. The Cards also lost Rolle and Cromartie didn't they, and Boldin didn't even play did he?

At any rate, the Saints looked like they came to play and they will be much more healthy if we get to see them next week, than they were in December...

rarely do ALL the homes teams win. I am glad to see that some of them already have.

We beat NO in their house and we have been practicing at our dome with the speakers cranked so high Phillips said his ears were ringing after. We can do this. Dallas is a great team! :starspin

I remember being nervous about the 1992 NFC Championship Game. The Cowboys had to go to muddy Candlestick Park and beat a great 49ers team. These are the types of games they have to win if they want to be champions.

this guy illustrated how rare it is. especially in the modern era.

thanks man!

In the playoffs this year, only 2 of the 6 road teams have won.

Also, it is my opinion that the referees have been favoring the home teams as well. I am not just talking about penalites called, I am also talking about penalties NOT CALLED. For example, it has appeared that the visting teams are not getting pass interference, offensive holding, illegal contact, and roughing the passer calls nearly as much as the home teams have.

Some may disagree, but the eyeball test so far tells me that the home teams are getting either favorable calls or getting no calls against the other team. I have a sinking feeling that the Vikes are going to be getting this "preferential treatment" as well.

Well, of course they are. They have Lord Favre playing for them. I'm sure the NFL will do everything in their power to keep his storyline intact.

That means that we will have 3 opponents today: the Vikings, the crowd, and the referees.

I do not believe the NFL is rigged, but I do believe the NFL favors teams with certain calls. Look no further than the most tainted Super Bowl in history, Super Bowl 40.
