Both players have strong college production, tested out as elite athletes, but lack NFL playing weight:

-13 sacks as a Junior playing out of position. He isn't like Sam Williams, where his learning curve shouldn't be as steep.
-14 interceptions, 6 pick six in the SEC, are you kidding me. Crazy ball production and team's avoided throwing the ball at him.

Yes, one is 240, the other is 170 lbs. In my opinion, both are future stars in this league and hoping one falls to 26.

I vote McDonald. All things being equal, Ill always favor the rusher. Plus we have two guys in Diggs and Bland that should be here long term. Pass rush depth gets very very thin after 2023

Don't think you can go wrong with either player. They will play in the sub-packages and compete to become starters in yr 2. You are right, Edge could look very different in 2024. How much longer can they keep that huge DLaw contract on their books, especially now with some huge extensions needed?

The good thing about McDonal is he plays above his weight. Like you said he played in a weird 3 man front so was doing some big boy stuff. He’s older which isn’t ideal but a heck of a player.

Everyone talks about Forbes weight but I don’t see it as a big issue as long as they do their homework on his character, work ethic, drive etc.

I might lean McDonald just bc I think the CB position stretches deeper in this draft.

McDonald didn't have a great Senior season, but had a 13 sack yr as a Junior.

When I watch Forbes, he is even a better ball hawk then Trevon Diggs is right now.

They are my top two choices but I have come over to the dark side. I want Forbes. Forbes to me is Sauce Gardener with ball skills. McDonald is Randy Gregory without the weed issue. I like Sauce better then weed.

You said it at the end though will they be there at 26. I think Forbes will go ahead of Porter and be the third corner. So many teams need cornerbacks that draft in front of us. I think McDonald will go higher as well. His sack production is crazy high. It is way ahead of Nolan Smith and Myles Murphy.

I think they both have a chance due to their physical frames, they aren't going to meet team's prototypes for the position.

I hope you are right. 26 is so far down. Have you checked out the Kstate corner Grimes? He is made for Quinn.

Iowa lineman are always very well coached too

Yea, his pressure rate was still rock solid though.

I think we’d both agree either are great options at 26.

I think Forbes being available is more realistic as lighter CBs usually fall.

So many here want a day 1 plug and play starter in rd 1, but I rather have a future pro bowl type player at a value position. Both these players have that upside.

You mean Brents? He is one of my favorite day 2 corners.
Sorry. Yeah man, I have never seen a big cornerback move like that. Wow!!!! I just want to see him against deep balls. Tall cornerbacks have all kinds of problems with 9 routes.

He has no issue against elite speed, despite his size. He could also easily play the safety position.

You would do a cartwheel for a McDonald and Brents 1st round/2nd round combo. This board would flip.  I bet Quinn would party.

100% agree. And I actually believe a DE or CB would get a pretty good number of snaps as a rookie.
