That doesn't show how "bad" they are. That shows how "bad" they are at getting interceptions. Which is a result of not getting pressure and not forcing a quarterback into turnovers.

Heath is not the same bad player he was in his rookie year. He has improved every year since he's been here.

He is one of the fastest players on the team and probably has the best ball skills out of all our DBs. How many times have we seen our DBs drop easy INTS? Heath doesn't drop easy INTS and the INT he had tonight was a very athletic play and hard one to make.

Yeah I was one of his biggest critics. In hindsight, the guy was a young player. He should've been allowed to learn and play football in this league. Wilcox as well.

They are prime examples of waiting until about year 3 to really judge a player.

Jeff Heath ended the season tied for lead in Cowboys interceptions. He's led that category for two years. Hmmmmm. Warm and fuzzy for next year.

The thing is; there's always something up with the team as a whole.

If it's not the defense, it's the offense or special teams or all three.

I feel a drought like that experienced by the Red Sox or even worse the Cubs is upon us :(

I don't feel a drought coming or anything like that. I'm very optimistic about our future.

But you are right. When you fix one hole another pops up.

We had no offensive line......we finally get one and the defense isn't up to par..........we had no quarterback...

That's the thing about the NFL.....you can't go into next season saying "Oh all we need is a defensive linemen" because you never know what may happen. Sean Lee may fall off. Or Dez may fall off.

You just gotta continue to draft well and continue to find hungry, solid veterans and role players in free agency.

I agree about the drafting, however we have a penchant on wasting second round picks on TEs we cant use or guys who can't play either due to suspension or injury (not to mention a 1st and 2nd on a corner).

That's a lot of high end draft capital wasted.

Is that going to stop????

To me the Jones Brain Trust aren't very good at operating in the modern salary cap era.

Why do y'all keep downing Heath? It's ignorant and corny. What makes Heath a bad player? I bet you can't answer that with any real facts. That dude basically had a sack and should've been two interceptions against an all time great qb and you in here takin shots. Man if you don't sit your *** down somewhere with this nonsense

We're already IN the drought.
Indeed we are, but are we 21 years into an 80 or a 110 year drought?

Either way the majority of us on this board will not live to see another SB win :(

I saw a Green Bay team that killed the #1 defense in the NFL last week struggle to win on the last play of the game here in big D. People complaining about the defense should get some perspective. I am fully on for next year sorry to lose some of you on the bandwagon. Jaylon Smith and Charles Tapper give me pause as to what could have been this year. On to the draft and scheming on pick #28.
