Why do I even bother what? As for where we are in the nfc, I see us right with the middle of the pack teams like SF and GB and Arizona, Maybe in the end New orleans and seattle.

Its more about how you play than who you play. Philly has wiped the floor with teams they shoud beat, so have the giants. To me the giants are the best team in the league, philly if they get healthy wont be too far behind.

I think atlanta is a notch right below philly and NY. And that is a bit better than we are.

You can justify things however you want, but atlanta will be here in two weeks. If matt ryan gets to stand in a clean pocket and throw the ball, they have way to many weapons for us to handle.

I just dont see us being able to stop any functional offense with more than one pass catching threat, and coming around the corner are Atlanta, Seattle, gb and philly. They all have multiple weapons and that is going to be a problem for us. We are good enough on defense to stop teams with one threat, those games are now behind us.

I hope we find a way to 8-3 and give ourselves a chance, I just havent seen what I have seen from other teams.

Well if you have the Giants as the best in the league and we handled them pretty well we must not be too far behind. Who have they played that really tested them? Who has Philly played? The eagles failed the only test they got against N.O.

And if we are just a notch below Atlanta then that goes against what you said completely. You said they are "Far Superior in almost every way". So how is it we cant beat them when we can beat the Giants and they are better than Atlanta? It just doesnt add up.

You are right about one thing. Its about how you play. But its also about when. We have enough talent to beat any team in the NFL. The league has become so average that half of the NFC is good enough to go to the superbowl. Yes even us.

Two positives from this game to me are

1. They continued to go to austin. Over the last two years I have seen austin open alot in the stadium, but he has always been so far down the pecking order that he never got the ball. Continually going to him can go a long way in him getting better and producing.

2. This win allows us another chance at fixing this season. I really dont think we can beat atlanta with our secondary, but if we find a way to get that one I think we can get the seattle game. So if we are 5-2 with the tough philly-gb trip and can split, we come home at 6-3 and I think on a short week we are good enough to beat washington and oakland. that would put us at 8-3 for the tough stretch. In a sense you can say it is like we have hit the Reset button and are getting a second chance at exactly what we failed at last year. This time with a team fighting for each other and having already been through a lot.

Lose the atlanta game and we are right back to being on a road to nowhere. I think atlanta is far superior to us in almost every way, so winning that atlanta game would be a real confidence boost.

How exactly is Atlanta far superior to us in almost every way? Because they beat up on a vastly overrated SF team today?

I think our defense is vastly superior to theirs, and I think our special teams is as good, if not better than theirs too.

I don't think anybody can really say what will happen.The first thing you have to consider is which Dallas team shows up.I know they won today but if they commit 13 penalties combined with two turnovers against Atlanta it might not go our way.I haven't seen Atlanta in any games so I don't know how good or consistant they are in their play.I don't believe this team is good enough to overcome stupid mistakes to beat an Atlanta team playing good football.If this team does not commit mind boggling mistakes they can be competitive with any team in the league,but they have yet to be consistant since 2007.

Eagles beat Carolina, Tampa and the Chiefs just like we did and they lost to the Saints.

Giants beat the deadskins, Chiefs, and Tampa the Faders and we gave them the game.

They didn't beat them.
They destroyed them. Lop-sided victories. (mainly referring to giants)

That doesn't mean much when they play each other though. It can go either way when it comes to division rivalries in the NFC East.
