I could care less what he did to the Titans. We were a 13-3 team withouthim. He cant hurt us in the same way.

I doubt very seriously he will hurt us either from a on the field stand point unless the timing is really bad.

Dude you continuously make excuses for him.

Who cares about how he was in his JR year in College?

Im sure if you go back to some point in every criminals life there was a time they didn't get in trouble.

I just find it funny that you think our guys are sitting around the locker room saying "yeah I cant wait to give this guy a chance."

I'd love to see a sit down conversation with you and someone from the Titans organization. I bet they would get some good chuckles.

Yeah who cares that once he was a good kid.

Quote me making excuses for him? Otherwise you need to shut up with this line of putting words in my mouth.

He is 23 years old and has only been in trouble since he was 21. that is 2.5 years in his whole life that hes been getting in trouble.

Our guys go public talking about how they are proud of how we bring in troubled players and turn them around and how if things work out with Pac that he would help the team.

I am proud of that too and regardless of what you try to say NO ONE is beyond redemption. NO ONE is unable to make a better man of themselves.

I wish a lot more people would try.

Are you trying to say thats an excuse?

The fact he hadnt been in trouble before that time period does not absolve him of anything. it just shows that hes not all bad.

Are you incapable of understanding that?

As much as you want to believe that hes the devil incarnate its just not true.

What would happen if someone like Pacman was hired where you work?

I am that guy. At the age of 23 the only thing Pac has done that I didnt is hit a woman. Other than that I was probaly worst. I'm 34 now and a LOT has changed. People can change.

Who are the leaders on that team to help him?

That's a big misconception, that someone has to lead everyone. This ain't junior high ball. We're all grown men and paid professionals. But we are accountable to each other. The leaders I'd say are me -- God gave me the ability to play middle linebacker. And in the secondary we have good leaders in Ken Hamlin and Terence Newman.

normally i'd agree with this but not with this team fading every December

who cares what the players think. All that matters is what jerry thinks and winning anyway anyhow...Right?

From what I have been reading on this board and from the cowboys own site, there is no problem bringing the guy in, he just slips into the locker room and the wins come in bunches. Just like in maddens.

You remind me of one of the posters in the Poli forum. He rode the glue out of his dead horse yesterday. By the looks of it, it appears your paste will be ready tomorrow around noon or so.

and i thought i was a ray of sunshine....

bradie is doing the prudent thing and not jumping to conclusions one way or another which is better than i can say about some people around here.

its not like he said it was a bad idea he said he didnt know which is the most 'negative' thing that any of them have said by a long shot.

if the players are willing to give him a shot then perhaps you should consider doing so as well.

whatever dude. And just like with owens I dont have a choice. He is now a part of this team and I just have to hope I never have to hear him running his mouth.

Could someone list all of the Titans' players that Pacman Jones took down with him?

Thanks in advance!

Here is one way to look at it.

2006 with pacman = No playoffs.
2007 without pacman = Playoffs.

Obviously one guy at corner doesnt change a team that much, but maybe some of his drama did.

oh boy. Your a tired act. Pick a new person to follow around and lie in the weeds to take shots at.

Here is an idea too, add something to the football discussion on this forum. Just a thought.

Or maybe it was the fact that they had several personnel changes on defense?

But don't let that stand in your way.

Carry on.

I've said before that there are plenty of valid reasons to be against trading for him.

There doesn't need to be stuff made up to support your case.

I guess you missed the statement that said obviously one guy at corner didnt change that.

Feel free to read bits and pieces.

I have only one reason to dislike him and nothing to like about him. It will suck to have to hope he does well. It is what it is though, I dont have a choice. As I have said many times.

Then why did you bring it up? Either that was your point or you didn't have one. Which was it?

Pac not being there had nothing to do with it. They got rid of the other two corners who were awful and brought in Harper and Finnegan. Thompson who who was awful was replaced by Griffin a first round choice. They replaced their MLB and one of there DT. Haynesworth both decided to show up after bad years in 2006.

You might as well say that Henry leaving was the cause which is absurd.

And why can you not like his talent on the football field. That is unquestioned.

Why would it 'suck' to hope that this guy finally 'gets it' and straightens out his life?

Why would it 'suck' to hope that he can help your favorite football team?

Wouldn't it be better to be optimistic on both counts?

All very true and accurate points.

I am not trying to convince people we shouldnt have him anymore or any of that. I understand he is now a part of this team. I just dont like one thing about him.

As far as not liking his talent, that is what is at the core of my dislike of him. How can I root for someone when I seriously dislike everything he is about. I cant stand him. So I am not going to make an exception just because he is a talented player. That thought process doesnt make sense in my head.

I like to have a team that beats teams that have guys like pacman, owens, deion sanders etc. Not a team that has to go sign them and act desperate because it can not be patient.

I dont expect anyone to agree with me nor do I think they have to, but I do have the right to my opinion. even though everytime I express it on here the pacman bandwagon is going to roll through and trample, nothing I can do.

It will suck Because I dislike everything about the man. I think it stinks that the team has to be so impatient and bring these guys in.

As far as his personal life goes, I think it is fair to say everyone hopes he turns around and gets it. How could I affect that and how would we ever know that. Fans dont know what these guys do when they go home. So I am not worried about that.

I am worried about this football team and what a guy like pacman can do to it.

and it worries me that jerry would think he has to have this player.

Like Parcells said when he left, "After I am gone you will never know I was ever there". I like the way this team is constructed and I like the type of people in this locker room. I dont want to see that screwed up.
