You've got this part backward. The Cheats were taping defensive signals, not offensive signals. How hard would it be for Brady to call both a pass and a run play in the huddle. In the meantime, the Cheatriots coaches recognize the Colts defensive signal and alert Brady as he's approaching the line. He audibles to the play that best exposes the Colt's defense.

Granted, the timing has to be good, but it's very, very possible to do.

The other thing I would have liked to know more about is the radio system used by the opposing team to call plays and relay them to the QB mysteriously shutting down in the middle of critical drives with the other team is moving the ball well. We read reports of at least two coaches saying this happened to them when playing in Foxboro.

Yet every team has photos from up above showing every single formation and alignments that are taking place. I would say most who know the game know when the blitz is coming and where the one on one matchup are before the ball is even snapped. I still feel the Pats should have been punished harder for what they did but I don't think what they did is the reason why they are a successful team. I don't feel sorry for the Pats being slammed and questioned by fans they earned this by these acts but right now I think all this is playing in favor of the Pats more than against them as the Pat players seem to be really focused and motivated by going out and proving that they are a great team then and still are today. Pats have talent and the us against the world motivation in their corner right now. Lastly I’m hearing many coaches who have said while this was wrong it did not give much of an advantage in their eyes.

We agree on most of the points you made. Particularly that the scandal has seemed to make them more determined than ever, and that the punishment should have been greater.

I just disagree that the information wasn't helpful to them.

Just hearing some other former coaches take on it most do not think it did help much.

Talk about motivating...this should pull the wool off other team's eyes and make them want to beat the hell out of dirty cheater Bellicheck and his cheating team. I know I can hardly wait for week six.

I look forward to playing the Pats as well because I think we have a good team as well. I will say this Pats got in trouble after week 1 and been kicking butt on every single team they have faced and these games have not even been close.
