Ascelius: If the Giants beat the Patriots and stop perfection. The Patriots go on to win the Super Bowl, how historically signaficant will the Giants win be.

Salisbury: Pat on the back. If they win the Super Bowl, people will just say they acheived their goal.

Ascelius: If they get denied on the last game, it will be significant.

Salisbury: Mercury Morris will appreciate it <laughing>

Ascelius: Who could make noise

Salisbury: Packers and Colts. In the NFC is Seattle. It would be an even more dangerous team if Alexander was playing better. You gotta score on the Packers and Cowboys, and Seahawks know how to score.

Salisbury: In the AFC, physical defense, a run game, a well coached team and a QB that doesn't make mistake. Jacksonville is set up for a championship.

Golic: Tampa Bay. Garcia, tough defense and they can run the ball. Jon Gruden would love that they are not getting hyped.

Salisbury: Would't be a suprise if they upset the Cowboys.

Ascelius: I think Tampa could beat Green Bay in the cold

Salisbury: I am not sure if Green Bay or Dallas could beat Seattle in Seattle

Golic: San Diego is another team. If LT gets teh ball enough, that offense is explosive. They are hot.

Salisbury: I am concerned about inconsistency at QB in San Diego. If he plays like he did against Tennesse, they will struggle.

Ascelius: Phillip Rivers?

Salisbury: Seems like he premeditates his reads. You go through some of his throws and wonder why he throws those passes and other times he looks great. Inconsistency and decision making is hurting him.

Golic: How should teams approach the last week?

Salisbury: New England has to play. If you are the Cowboys, you owe noboby anything, do not risk injury. Same for Green Bay and NY Giants.

Ascelius: What about teams like Minny and Denver? What if Culter didn't play?

Salisbury: I would have a problem with it, I am still evaluating him. If he is hurt, different story, but if healthy, then he needs to play.

Looks like Seattle is the flavor of the week, just two weeks removed from losing to Carolina.

Seattle looks like a Jeckle and Hyde team. As bad as they look one week they can look great the next.

They should be, the Packers lost so it's on to another "hot" team.

I'm going over their games and can't quite figure out which one they looked great in.

The few games I have seen them play they have looked very good in their execution of the offense. Nothing flashy but have played some very good games. They have also no doubt played some dog games. I don't see them on the same level as the Cowboys and Packers but I don't think Seattle should be looked at as a walk in the park.

Hasselbeck is playing pretty well. Defense is ok, but Seattle will go only as far as Hasselbeck can take 'em. They've had injuries in the receiving corp. Alexander is done and his back Morris is a backup for a reason, but somehow they keep winning.

Playing in their division doesn't hurt. Then getting Baltimore on a 7 game losing streak, Atlanta, Carolina, Cincinatti, etc. That's a recipe for a 10-11 win season.

According to FO, it's the 32nd ranked schedule in the league.

What a brilliant, irrelevent statement.

I was always neutral to the media, but that was a moronic statement.

Good thing we don't have to worry about that, Salisbury. What was the point of bringing that up?

That's what I was wondering. Did he forget that the Cowboys have home field advantage throughout their tenure in the playoffs??

I agree. Hasselbeck has put up 27 TD and 12 ints and is hitting over 62% of his passes. He has 3 good WR in Engram who has 90 catches on the season and over 1,000 yards recieving and with Branch returning from injury he gives Hasselbeck another quality WR. While the defense is not dominating they have limited teams to 16.5 points a game the 5th best in the NFL and 43 sack. Add to that they have a very good special teams with 2 kickoff returns for TD and a pretty solid kicker in Josh Brown. I'm not trying to build them up into a top SB contender but I do think they are a team who will not go down easy.

Winning breeds confidence, though. So you never know. Like Dooms said, I don't think they're on GB or Dallas' level, but when what your doing works, some things just fall your way if you continue to play your game consistently.

Seattle is the flavor of the week like someone had stated. So he had to spin it around like that. Unreal :lmao:

Yeah, they haven't beat anyone good all year except the Eagles and that was a close game that the could have easily lost. They got blown out by the Stealers and lost to the Browns, Saints, and Cards and then lost to the Panthers. They are NOT a threat.

They play in the weakest division in football and have 5 wins against their division opponents (3-12 Rams, 5-10 49ERs, & split with the 7-8 Cards). Their lone win against a team with a winning record was week-1 against the Bucs.

As I said, they are NOT a threat. They might beat the Vikings in Seattle but I doubt they get any further than that.

It really does not matter what Seattle or GB or Tampa can do. If we can't beat those guys we don't have a chance against NE anyway.

Tampa is a big pretender, Seattle is a lesser GB IMO. NYG are the best running team and a much bigger threat than Tampa to the Cowboys just because Eli plays well against the Cowboys (without Shockey we should easily beat them though).

I dunno guys. They've played 3 teams over .500 this year and they lost 2 of them. The one win was in Week 1 against the Buccaneers.

Regardless there's almost no chance that we play them this year so moving right along...

Salisbury is a tool. Seattle has played the worst teams in the league at home - their last 5 home wins are against teams who are collectively 25-50.

I have to disagree.

Anybody that stands between the Dallas Cowboys and the Super Bowl is a threat.

The Playoffs are a totally different season and save for Seeding, you can throuughout what you and the opposition did in the Regular Season.

Any team in the NFC can beat the Cowboys and the Cowboys can beat any team in the NFC.

I will be a nervous wreck for every game will play in the Playoffs.

Should the Cowboys make it to the Super Bowl? Yes, they beat just about every prominent pretender to the NFC Crown, some by double digits.

But will they make it to the Super Bowl?
