And you would be absolutely warranted for making that claim.

Furthermore, I am not saying his statement was correct, I am just trying to put it in context and explain where he was coming from.

The man used a hypothetical, whether it was useless or not to further emphasize a point he made.

I am not going filter my Recaps just because a couple of posters don't like what somebody said, that is ridiculous.

lol, noone is asking you to

all we're saying is that Seattle won't be playing at home, so the point is useless

And I am telling you I agree with you :D .

I simply tried to provide a context for why Sean Salisbury said what he said, because maybe everyone reading the Recap didn't get to here it live.

This is not the first time someone making a point has used hypotheticals (useless or not) to further make a point.

Again, he obviously knows that Seattle is going to be a road team.

He was throwing out a hypothetical to underscore the point that he thinks Seattle is that good and could spoil the party for someone.

I don't know what else to say.
wow, a Salisbury apologist

There's nothing else you can say. They want to bash on the guy, so they will.

I really wish the Skins had a shot at the five seed because i would much rather play the Bucs who we've already played this year and know, than the Seahawks, who are more of an unknown.

I don't think I am a fan of playing a team 2-3 times.

I would rather go with a team we have not played, unless we lost to them in the Regular Season.

so we should just leave an unimportant, useless point alone? Seattle being tough at home has no bearing, whatsoever, on the upcoming playoffs because they won't be at home

I disagree. Whether they play the Skins, Vikes or Saints, Saettle's HFA gives them a win in the first round.

It will be the Giants, IMO that are knocked out by the Bucs.

I guess we'll see but the NFCW has been cake all year and Dallas had the game won at Seattle last year with an average at best football team.

I think I'd pick every team except the Skins over the Hags. The Skins simply do not have enough offense imho to win a playoff game.

The only team of that group Seattle has played has been the Saints and they lost by 11 at home.

Seattle's "biggest" win of the season was a home field win week 1 against the Bucs, they have had a cotton candy soft schedule.

i think i would feel the same way if I had beaten a team twice before - I wouldn't want to play them again. But we lost to the Bucs by 3 after committing 6 turnovers (admittedly Garcia wasn't playing). I think we would be fired up to have a chance at redemption.

i definitely think the worst thing that could happen to the Skins is to get in a shootout.

I am not trying to bag on you here but imho the worst thing that could have happened was to win out and make the playoffs, keep the same coaching staff.

The Skins have some nice players but to be any good they need to add a few more and allow Campbell to develop. Wins with Gibbs at HC and Collins at QB is imho a roadblock to progress. Then again once you are in the situation it's obviously hard to root for anything but a win.

The first year under BP when QC was at QB and BP took us to the playoffs reminds me of this Skins team.

By contrast I think the Eags are fortunate to be out of it and can move McNabb along to Chicago or whomever and re-build.

Seattle is a totally different animal at home. I kinda doubt they lose in their first round game, especially if their opponent has to pack up and fly all the way from the east coast, but I wouldn't be shocked.

Seattle has feasted on a pathetic division to get five of their wins, lost once to the Cardinals on the road and nearly lost again at STL. They did lose to the dog Panthers and to the Browns on the road, they were obliterated at Pittsburgh and were wiped out by NO at home. Truly, their only quality wins on the year were at Philly (and that is a slight stretch to call that a quality win, though Philly is better than their record, but Feeley literally handed them the game), and kinda their home win against TB. Nine of their 10 wins are against teams under .500 and 7 of those were against teams with 6 wins or less.

Looks like Seattle is the flavor of the week, just two weeks removed from losing to Carolina.

Wow, the media is now pimping the Seahags.

The Seabuzzards had the weakest schedule in the entire NFL, almost all of their wins are against sub .500 teams. They did beat Tampa way back in week 1, so I guess that is their lone "quality win" of the season.

If Salsbury is scared of that garbage roster, he needs to grow some balls. In Texas Stadium, we beat that joke of a playoff team by 3 TDs, easy.:)

I don't quite understand why there is so much hype around Sean Alexander.

The guy is over the hill. And even in his prime I always felt he ran really soft.
