Receivers Not Getting Open

Worst wide receiver unit in the NFL. Dez would've been easily the best option today. People so high on Gallup and when has a rookie come into the league and instantly become a #1 guy.

I usually defend Dak but I agree with the others that he did not play well. It is true that the WRs were bad too, but Dak needs to make some of these throws. He had time on a lot of plays.

The OL was ok, but they need to stop with all those holding penalties. But overall, they were average considering Fred was out.

Zeke was not good. How about making some guys miss? Our D struggled to tackle the Carolina RB, but Zeke would usually go down easily. He is supposed to be a top RB.

I blame Zeke and Dak for this loss. And the coaches of course.... Oh and Witten for deciding to retire without warning and the same year we release Dez. I agree those two were past their prime, but Witten was better than our current TEs.

Idk Dak was pretty bad accuracy wise

Quite a few balls at WRs feet and missing I think it was jarwin who was wide open
Jarwin has to know to find the empty space and work backwards. That's a tough throw to hit on the run.

Remember that thread after that one preseason game where people were entertaining the idea of Gallup topping 1k receiving yards this year :muttley:

This bunch just isnt anything special. With the exception of Beasley, as soon as they catch the ball they're going down. Nobody is a threat after the catch unlike someone that we had here for a long time. Mediocre position group with equally mediocre offensive coaches and QB, sad!

There was nowhere for Dak to throw the ball.

HA HA HA lets get rid of all of them and bring in another batch of new WR and TE .....man Dak will still STINK even if the "FLASH" is his no 1 WR......

The whole offense sucks. Dak was bad, Zeke was underwhelming... the offensive line was bad, the receivers couldn't get open. This will be a long year. I think I'm glad now we didn't waste a pick on Earl. This clearly isn't a superbowl ready team. We could even potentially get a top 10 draft position
With the way the defense played, I want more premium picks on offense. I dont want to give those up for ET when we may finally have a very good defense

Meanwhile, when our receiver was wide open and would have had a walk in touchdown Dim Pressbow threw it into the dirt at his feet. Maybe he had too much separation.
It was the scheme. Jarwin needs to dive 10 yards back towards Dak and scoop up the ball. It was pathetic wasn't it?

They all just run 8-10 yds, they turn around, and then they just stand there. No scramble drills
That is exactly what I saw.

Seriously, what sort of scheme is that? No wonder no one could get open and Dak couldn't find receivers.

.....yeah, OL went downhill towards the end. Better fix it while its still early.

you cant fix it quick.Looney is looney,Williams is just too light to play guard right now and Tyron looked shaky too.

Was hoping offensive scheme would surprise us today. No one was surprised including Carolina. Can't win in the NFL with our coaches losing the strategy battle every week. Looks like Garrett's ceiling is what it is.

They call it Air Garett but Dak friendly. They ran the same plays with Romo but 2-4 yards farther downfield. Outs and Curls, with one guy going deep.
