Redzone concern?

Did anyone watch the Seahawks/Vikings game last night? Wilson, having an MVP type season and throws a bone head interception just before half. Man we would ream Dak a new one for that. They all hack up hair balls some times.

Need a lot more creative motion and misdirection in the RZ... get Dak on the edge, work speedy guys to the boundaries, and bring in big targets over the middle.

I just don’t understand why Rico isn’t used more in the RZ? Dude is huge and a mismatch. Who cares if his blocking isn’t great down there? Let him post up and high point a few balls— at the very least his presence requires some defensive attention that may open things up for other guys.

Anyway— our RZ offense is the biggest concern for our entire team at the moment. We should have won by 3 scores on Sun but needed OT bc we cannot finish drives.

Don’t have any faith in Linehan to solve the problem either... so it will come down to players being able to execute his predictable uncreative calls down there

What needs to change? It seems they're knowing Zeke and/or Dak will run it in. It seems we can't throw a TD in the RZ.

I think we need some bigger TE packages and get them involved. Your thoughts?
We rarely run it, they decide to put it in his hands all 3 downs.
The teams know that SL is going to pass, (DUMB!!!)

Bingo! The key is to try to catch the defense in a mismatch, be it scheme or personnel. I had no issue with passing on first down when we had 1st and goal at the 5. The thing I thought strange though was having Beasley run an inside slant. The dude's the shortest receiver - easy for him to get lost in the weeds and Dak not find him. Seems like Noah Brown would've been a better option.
I agree, generally our scheme in the redzone sucks. its usually WRs just running into the end zone scrambling to get open. I liked what philly did the other night with Jeffries, bring him across the formation with the other WRs running beneath him and then use his size to get in. easy pitch and catch.....we need some rub routes, some pick routes, some crossing, a little more creativity.....we used screen pass before and it worked, and I was hoping they run a screen play and let zeke find the seams to get to the endzone.....

Minnesota is ahead of the Cowboys in almost every offensive statistic except rushing. They feel they needed a change at OC and yet Linehan continues on
