Freeney got hurt on a hold not called and you guys are whining about holds not called. Unbelievable.
I have to rewatch that one cause when I saw it, it seems his leg buckled do to the grass. He tried to get low to the ground and beat Smith around the corner and got walled.

I saw a chokehold by the Chargers right guard that went uncalled. I think we were also called for a penalty on the exact same play

Was there any holds on the chargers? No. Not a damn 1. I saw about 4

Smith grabbed his shoulder with both hands and pulled him down.

There were no missed calls in this game that cost the Cowboys this football game.

It was their own poor play. Nothing else.

Did you watch to see how many calls were missed against the Chargers, or is that not a valid argument also?

I have never argued that we lost because of a missed call.

The thread was started pointing to certain plays where there were missed calls. They were certainly missed. The end.

You then came in and said there were some plays that weren't missed and were called on the Chargers. Well yes that's a true statement. What does that have to do with anything?

The argument is that the missed calls will eventually even out, but that seems like a logical fallacy to me.

What it has to do with is context and looking at a situation with objectivity.

People throughout this thread have been blaming the officials for missing calls against the Cowboys, but never once examining whether it was happening in the other direction.

They also apparently do not watch the NFL regularly, as calls are missed all the time.

It's good, though, that the players on the field tend to be the ones who decide games.

It's right if you assume that the Refs don't have any biases of any form. Not sure if its still the case, but I'm pretty sure that for a while there we were an "undisciplined" team which got looked at harder then many of our opponents.

I do think it's interesting that a lot of holds out on the tackles are being let go currently.

Yes, it is hard to measure the frequency and location of events that didn't happen.

how many times do you count the Cowboys' oline holding and getting away with it?

ill tell you what, ill call it even when one of our boys gets away with tackling from behind from the refs and what was the officeal record, i believe hte ref said no penalty because you got the sack or something, when trent williams of the skins tackled Ware from behind. Yeah, give me that and get away with it and ill say we are even. Or when their qb is body slammed as Romo has been

The Cowboys were whistled for five penalties for 33 yards today.

The Chargers were whistled for eight for 75 yards.

Yep, it was the officials who screwed the Cowboys........

This means absolutely nothing. Same as the NBA when people gripe about the refs and someone posts a stat like this. It's the non calls and when those fouls occurred. That hold on Leary was huge. Chargers got away with murder the whole game.

Dallas never gets held, yet every single week we get called for ticky tack stuff, usually on a big play or as the offense is building momentum.

Cochuli has been notorious for blowing calls his entire career.

One of the worst refs in the league. Equivalent to Joey Crawford in the NBA...pshh who am i kidding, nobody is that bad

I saw that one and another arm hook where we were stretched out trying to grab the runner and couldn't get loose. Selective choosing I suppose??

There was also uncalled holding on this play, btw. 70 tries to tackle 59, while 59 tries to tackle 86. Also 76 holds 42 (pulling the back of his jersey up).

Yeah let's blame the refs for the loss. Knew it was coming sooner or later as some freeze frame each play on their DVR looking for excuses.

San Diego picks up a crucial 3rd down, midway in the 4th quarter. The next play San Diego scores a Touchdown that gives the Chargers an 9 point lead. However for those with DVR's, on the 3rd down conversion play, the clock had run out without the Ref's blowing the whistle for a delay of game penalty.

i was sayin the same thing
