Regarding MB3 and JJ *MERGED*

jj jus cant shed tackles if there is no hole and doesnt fall forward with 205lbs versus 240lbs LBs. Yet on dumpoffs he is a major threat with room, we jus need to get him those holes he will be fine plus we need both they just play better together.

Why the sudden ragging on JJ? He's about 100 yards away from the thousand mark.

That's nothing to laugh at.

Anyone else??

I certainly don't have any answers for it, but I hope they don't change anything just yet, because they seem to be rolling well as a team right now.

Regardless of JJ or MB, I'm happy we have both of them in there.

Don't fall in love too much with MB. He has a better yards per carry average, and is a beast in short yardage ... but then again, so did Troy Hambrick when he was Emmitt's backup.

Backups tend to rack up good averages because opposing teams don't game plan for them.

I'm happy with the current situation ... it's working.

Refresh my memory....when Did Hambrick have 13 tds off the bench?

They also said on the telecast today that the Giants to a man were worried about Barber.

im liking what we are doing...just the way we are doing it
both of those guys are good

remember...the cardnals gave up on his brother thomas and now hes pretty decent eh? i think jj is just in a simple slump or is a late bloomer.

hambrick also had an attitude and wanted emmitt benched...o yea he fumbled also no a good mix for a "power" back.

Unfortunately, Julius can't play the nickel back because he can't catch the ball worth frick. If you make MB3 the the base set back, he's going to play 60 snaps a game and Julius is useless. The situation they have now is probably the best way to divide snaps between them. I just want MB3 on the field when the game is on the line.

So far Parcells is batting a .1000 with switching QBs and Kickers. Maybe its time to switch the running back. The cowboys offense seems to respond better to Barber hard running style. There is nothing wrong with starting Barber and have JJ come off the bench.

the answer is this... the OL is a bunch of wallers... no drive blockers!!! MB3 doesnt always need a hole to get positive yards! JuJo rookie year the line had drive blockers... the only drive blocker the Boys have is Gurode... oh and MB3 is a better football player!!!

JuJo may be bigger stronger faster but he lacks in Heart and head!!!

I just wonder if Parcells is up to demoting/exploding another guy . . .

Bledsoe, Vandy, now JJ??????

Barber's a more enjoyable player to watch. I still like them as a duo, even if Barber is slowly becoming my "more" favorite of the two.

JJ isn't chopped liver.

Kinda hard to shed tackles when the d-line seems to be in the backfield when JJ has the ball.

Again, it seems that Barber trusts the o-line more than JJ at this point. Plus, Barber just seems to have a quicker first step than JJ....But I still like JJ.

Hlaf-way through this season he was ranked in the top 7, and prior to today he was ranked at # 13, and THAT is WITH splitting time...ESPECAILLY the last two weeks.

Barber looks to have taken over as the lead back. As much of a supporter of Julius' as I am, I'm beginning to think that Parcells has coached the playmaker right out of him. His rookie year, he looked for holes everywhere. Now, he never considers the cutback or running to daylight. He runs scared - not of opposing players, but of Parcells.

I think this says is all. I, personally, think Jones is a great back, but for whatever reason, he's not the same runner he was in his first 2 years.

Jones seems to run with no confidence, but I'll keep hoping he'll find it again.

agreed. julius runs scared. MB3 runs to punish people.

I really think it has to do w/ some of the playcalling and blocking as much as it does barber being the better back. Julius gets hit at or behind the LOS all the time.

Example: They ran that toss today where he was stopped for a 3 yard loss...when he was hit 5 yards deep.

How many times has Barber been put in that situation. I dont know, maybe I'm being biased but it just doesnt seem like Julius gets the same opportunities that barber does.

It's not even that... when Julius does get decent blocking, he's still not juking anyone out of their socks, or making sweet cuts and getting those extra yards

it's like Bill draws up a play with an arrow being the intended running back route, and JJ does not deviate from it or something...
