Dont have an opinion unless I can back it up?lol!!!! I watch the game. That's my back up. I dont always go with the stats.
As far as TO. You said kill his status and I said yes and mis-spoke. It doesnt kill it but it does hurt it . He's never been known to have great hands but he's never had a year as bad as this. I'll give TO some lead way just because he's been elite for a while now. I never have thought RW was elite. Thought he would be after his rookie season and to me he's never really dont anything to be labled elite. JMO!!!! JMO!!!!!JMO!!!!!
Look dude. Your not changing my opinion and I'm not changing yours. I have a opinion even though I dont have stats. I watch the game and form an opinion. I dont go to NFL.com and look up stats to form my opinon.
Neither do I. I watch the games - not just Roy, but the the other safeties I mentioned, and I watch them with the critical eye you appear to reserve for Roy Williams. They get beat, miss tackles, just as much as Roy. They don't make as many game-changing plays, they're not as intimidating over the middle, and they're just flat out not as good - any of them. Week in, and week out, Roy is the best safety in the NFL. The stats - and the performance on the field, bear that out. You're obviously watching with unrealistic expectiations, or a lack of knowledge of how the other "elite" safeties in the league perform week in and week out.
In any case, the people dissatisfied with Roy rarely have anything other thatn "what I see" or rare instances where he plays poorly to support their positions. When asked to identify times Roy has been bad, flat out beat, they struggle to come up with any. It's always "He's bad in coverage, he goes for the big hit, misses guys, tackles low and misses" all rehashed oveer and over again with no backup.
It being just your opinion is nice and all - it'd be nicer if the opinion mirrored reality, though.
JMO.
