see thats the thing, I think that even Longhorns fans can admit to Peterson being the real deal.. for the guy that went on about Bush.. do you really honestly think that Peterson isnt the full package? he is a big strong back with exceptional speed.. a home run threat every time but he can also run linebackers over.. he spins, jukes, has speed, power, moves.. and has proven to be an every down back, unlike Bush..
You'll see in time...Peterson will not have the success Bush will have.

I grew up a USC fan...I hate UT and OU...can't stand their coaches either, so yes, I'm tainted.

This is like arguing Emmitt versus Barry...you can't win either side....I'll just say wait and see on both. I believe Reggie Bush is going to be another Marshall Faulk. I believe Peterson is a big strong kid who had a great year on a team that ran the ball down people's throats...last year, even when not injured, he struggled with his team. I think he runs too tall and will be tagged all the time in the NFL.

Maybe they'll both be great, but I'm leaning towards Peterson being one of those guys who has nothing else, who will be run into the ground this year.

every game excluding the tcu(played hurt) and ucla(didn't start) whenever he had over 20 carries 100 yards came w/ it, he also played hurt in the holidy bowl but that wasn't an ankle problem, 2 touchdowns come w/ 20+carries most of the time too

Do you know what conference Texas plays in?

the big 12 is a much tougher conference than the pac 10. the pac 10 is a joke compared to the big 12. the big 12 is the freakin wild west of college football. shootouts every saturday afternoon!

They are totally different type RB's. Bush is flashy and makes plays much like Barry Sanders in that if he has the ball on any kind of play he can go all the way.

I need to see more from AP to see just how good he can be. I think he should get better since the only year he played without injury was is Freshman year. Maybe we should hold back judgment until we get to see his best now before anyone can really try to compare them.

I have a problem with all the comparing RB's of different types as to which one is best. It will depend mush on what type offense they play in ones they get in the NFL. The system difference can make a huge difference in a RB's success or lace of.

I do know that Bush has great talent and is more elusive than AP and AP runs with more power and is also very talented. There numbers will be impacted by the system they play in.
