They went 6-10 and traded us their 2004 1st round pick.
Everyone was convinced they would be a 6-10 team at best the following season but they surprised at 9-7 and thus dropped our 1st round pick to #20.

Just something to keep in mind with the new look Browns' 2008 1st rounder...

The Buffalo pick turned out to be BELOW our own 1st rounder...

b. Quinn is a QB. Whether you guys want to believe or not. Quinn will win them some games.

How many rookie qb's led their teams to winning records last year?

Yes.

Thats what I meant by "below".

Sorry, if the #1 pick is the top and the #32 is the bottom...

then 20 is below 11.

That was my logic.

Either way, our pick came up before the BUF pick did.

Huh?

He means that Dallas' original first round pick (11) was higher than the pick that Buffalo gave us that we thought would be extremely low (20).

Although, unless the Buffalo pick was significantly higher than ours, it wouldn't have mattered if it was any higher. Wasn't the choice at 11 between Ware and Spears anyways. If Buffalo's pick was any higher, it would have just meant we would be paying Spears a little more money.

Many thought BUF pick could be a top 5er...

which meant people were thinking it was going to be far more valuable the next draft.

2003..6...10..0
2002..8...8...0
2001..3...13..0
2000..8...8...0
1999..11..5...0

Cleveland Record last 5 years when we got their pick

2005..6...10..0
2004..4...12..0
2003..5...11..0

I think I feel better with this one than Buff's....also, take a look at the conference that Cleveland Plays in...and their records last year...

Baltimore Ravens 13 - 3
Cincinnati Bengals 8 - 8
Pittsburgh Steelers 8 - 8

Anyway, Im with whomever said... "my favorite two teams next year are The Dallas Cowboys, and whomever is playing the Cleveland Browns."

Cleveland will be damn lucky to win 6 and 7 would be the absolute tops IMHO. There's about a 90% chance the pick is in the 5-10 area. 2-3 on the high end and 11-12 on the low end. God watched the draft and he likes his team:)

Could we just win a playoff game first?

Our savior is the division difference.

Thats a tough division for Cleveland.

That and Crennell sucks.

We don't know how good or bad Clev. will be. I can see them going 8-8 with some breaks. Although, I will say I like their talent on their roster the least of all the teams in their division. I expect a bounce back from both Cincy and Pitt this year and while I expect Baltimore to come back to earth a little, I still see them winning at least 9 games.

I think Clev. will battle you hard, but they might be two years away from seeing some of their fruits of their labor.
