Watching this game once again is so depressing. Again I'm reminded how we absolutely BLEW it that season. As everyone knows, there were a handful of plays (or misplays) that kept us from beating the Giants by 3 touchdowns.

1) The terrible offsides call against Ware that lead to the Giant's first TD. They should've been punting. He was obviously not offsides. Then the poor tackling that allowed the TD a few plays later.

2) The terrible soft zone defense at the end of the first half allowing the Giants to tie it up. Not only was it a terrible time to play so soft, but everyone's favorite CB (yes, that's Reeves) blew big time by getting beat over and over and by committing a very costly facemask.

3) Fasano dropping a sure TD that made us kick a field goal (after Tony missed a wide open Owens on third down)

4) I won't even go into Crayton's drop that eventually lead to the Giant's winning score. Not only would we have kept the chains moving and not had to punt, we would've had very good field position to score again ourselves.

Oh well, I'm getting a freaking headache.

I'm watching the replay as well. I have no idea why. It's causing me nothing other than anger and frustration.

Furthermore, how can anyone blame Romo for this loss? He can't catch the ball for his receivers.

Your frustration stems from far more than merely this game. It's 12 consecutive years of mediocrity, underachievement, and poor management with no reprieve.

And we haven't even gotten to the totally bogus grounding and Bigg "unnecessary roughness" calls yet...

That game broke my heart, so I could never watch it again.

We had the best team in the NFC that year, and we blew it.

There's that grounding. Horrible. Nobody was even near him -- even Troy and his #1 admirer agree.

I have a hard time watching any losses, but this one is terrible. We ran all over them in the 1st half, just complete domination. Our offensive line was driving their defensive line off the ball like it was nothing. The second half, we went with Andy Reid ball. Threw the ball WAY too much. How many times are you going to run the same predictable draw play? That's all we did for running in that 2nd half.

The refs were terrible too, but even with that, we still should have won. I still held faith that whole time that we'd come back on that last drive. Romo had done some magical things that season, and I thought this would be no different.

I know it's sort of cliche to hate on Garrett lately, but that was the game that did it for me. He fell off the pedestal on that one. I still like the guy, but he showed his immaturity in that game big time. There was no reason to get cute, Barber was just pounding the hell out of them. Even when they knew it was coming, they did nothing to stop it.

Want to throw up in your mouth? Hit up NFL.com and take a look at that play-by-play of our offense. Compare the 1st half to the 2nd half. You'd think our coordinator was drunk or something.

Don't take it as me being a Garrett hater, I really am rooting for the guy, just letting off some steam after having to watch that refresher. That game really, really pisses me off. There is no ******** excuse we lost that game. Whether we go to the Super Bowl or not is entirely different, but we were the most talented team in the NFC by far, and we let that slip right out of our hands. In this decade, I really didn't expect to win the Carolina game with the combo of Quincy/Hambrick, but the losses to Seattle and NYG are two of the toughest ones I've ever had to stomach in any sport. My stomach is in knots right now. Whether that makes me pathetic or not, so be it, but I seriously feel like I could throw up.

:banghead:

By my estimation (which, admittedly, is not aided by the full 22 camera), Romo had only one poor play all game -- the fourteen yard sack on first down when he was outside the pocket and should've thrown the ball away.

However, on the subsequent play, he hit Jason for a 20 yard gain, more than atoning for the lost yardage.

We can blame Romo for many things, but this game is not one of them.

100% agreed.. worst part is, many people have tried to act like this game was Romo's fault. He played a great game, IMO.

And missing Owens wide open over the middle? He would have scored easily. Big time QBs make those throws. And losing his composure? He proves that the pressure is too much for him. But I blame the entire Dallas Cowboys for that mega flop...crazy concept.

What was interesting to see is that first Giants TD. Every player that missed that tackle are no longer on the team. Henry missed, Ellis missed, Roy feel down and Akin was too slow to catch him.

Geez why torture myself with that game again. Blah!

You are absolutely right, Big time QB's make big time throws; like putting the ball in Fasano's chest for a TD, only to have him drop it. Like throwing a couple of passes to the almighty TO, only to see the almighty make no effort to make a play on the ball. Like throwing a perfect TD pass to Crayton, only to have Crayton stop on the play, thus allowing the pass to be overthrown. Like leading a pass right into a wide open Crayton, who had nothing but daylight ahead of him, only to watch him drop it. Like missing some wideopen recievers because flozell was playing matador.

Yeah, that big time QB...............................

I enocurage you Romo bashers to go back and watch the game again. You may find that Romo was the last person to blame in this game. Heck, even Garret wasn't as bad as you think.

I have watched the game, some 4 or 5 times. I blame the entire Team for the loss. Romo is part of the team, no? So i am bashing the entire team not just Romo. And Garrett called some of the worst plays i have ever seen in the second half.

do yourself a favor and watch clips of the pakcers game in 2007 for first place in the nfc or the sunday night game in chicago. Better yet, go ahead and watch the game at the meadowlands that won us the NFC east then get back to me and tell me Romo can't handle the pressure.

haha, maybe you should join a badminton board, clearly the passion of the NFL is too much for you to handle. Facts are facts brother, Romo has won multiple big games, try watching the games before you throw our franchise under the bus.
