Was it funny when the pass fell incomplete? Exactly. Save the corny Owens hate and stick to the facts. He threw the game winning pass to the worst reciever on the field. Laugh at that

Hmmm

Lol, ok ok I'm not going to post anymore on this board until after week 1 when Roy doesn't do a damn thing. I cant wait to hear the excuses. "He's still getting to know Romo", "Its still early".

Still ....

I love how this game is "Classic Game"

I guess when you beat Dallas in the playoffs its considered a classic.

They have been showing this game over and over since last spring.

Funny, I havent seen the Eagles win over the giants in the exact same scenario labeled as "classic", havent seen that a single time on nfl network.

I guess they know people like to watch this game and blame romo so they constantly show it. It helps fuel the masses who are mostly idiots and say romo suck.

"classic"

Ridiculous.

If Dallas had won it would not be getting replayed.

hahaah, so now all of a sudden the eagles game last year was a playoff game? That was regular season buddy, according to you it's not important. You obviously have minimal understanding of what a big game is.

It might as well have been a playoff game. It was single elimination, win and you are in. You can't get any bigger without it being a playoff game.

I was thinking the same thing last night, theebs. Why is this game a "classic"? It didn't have much scoring, didn't have any last-second excitement, and was generally a pretty dull game unless you had an interest in either team.

Now the Super Bowl that followed this one? Now that was a classic game.

You'd think with the literally thousands of games the NFL has to choose from to call "Classic" they could do better. This was simply appealing to New York fans. Even their Green Bay win was a better played football game.

He should've thrown it to his best player. Not the guy who just came back from a knee injury who was double covered. Just a thought.

Please please please. No one delete his reply before I can return home and retrieve the video from my laptop...

Man, you guys are a glutton for punishment. It is going to take me a long time before I can rewatch a replay of this game. It is just too soon and too painful to revisit.

I've only recently got over "The Catch" in the 1981 NFC Championship Game ... and that was more than 25 years ago!

How about the BS pentaly on Leonard Davis for simply hitting Gap Tooth when he was clearly getting up to go after Romo? Romo hits Witten for about a 20 yard gain that got us out of a hole and up to about the 40 if I remember correctly. The comes Crayton's drop, which wouldn't have even happened, if they don't call that penalty...We punt and they get great FP with the McWarters return. All this from that BS penatly on Davis. The guy is getting up off the turf to go after the QB. What is he supposed to do.

Watching this game once again is so depressing. Again I'm reminded how we absolutely BLEW it that season. As everyone knows, there were a handful of plays (or misplays) that kept us from beating the Giants by 3 touchdowns.

1) The terrible offsides call against Ware that lead to the Giant's first TD. They should've been punting. He was obviously not offsides. Then the poor tackling that allowed the TD a few plays later.

2) The terrible soft zone defense at the end of the first half allowing the Giants to tie it up. Not only was it a terrible time to play so soft, but everyone's favorite CB (yes, that's Reeves) blew big time by getting beat over and over and by committing a very costly facemask.

3) Fasano dropping a sure TD that made us kick a field goal (after Tony missed a wide open Owens on third down)

4) I won't even go into Crayton's drop that eventually lead to the Giant's winning score. Not only would we have kept the chains moving and not had to punt, we would've had very good field position to score again ourselves.

Oh well, I'm getting a freaking headache.

I watched this mess again last night and that Fasano drop in the end zone killed me. That ball hit him right between the numbers.

TO was blocking? Interesting.

He said, "best player." He didn't say, "player prone to dropping passes."

I can't believe you didn't mention the attrocious blocking by the Oline. Every time the Cowboys were in a passing situation a free blitzer got through.

:hammer:

Run blocking was much better in the first half than the offensive line's pass blocking in the second half, especially during the fourth quarter. It's like the first half wore out the OL. Practically every other offensive down during the fourth quarter was a mexican bullfight for Romo. 'OLE!'

Which player on the field was prone to catching game winning touchdowns in playoff games? Witten? Glenn? Crayton? Let me know.:)

Why? To show Terry Glenn with two people shadowing him? One in front and one behind? Is that what you are so anxious to show? I dont care if Owens was doubled. If Glenn is doubled and Owens is doubled im going to the Pro bowl Hall of Famer.

When was the last time TO caught a game winning TD pass in a playoff game?

For that matter, when was the last time TO won a playoff game?
