Love to have him back but I'm guessing he would not start. I hate to say it, but keep an eye on the Eagles and/or Giants.

Bears Shopping All-Pro Robert Quinn Ahead of Trade Deadline, per Report
https://www.si.com/nfl/2022/10/19/b...bert-quinn-ahead-of-trade-deadline-per-report

Robert Quinn’s days are reportedly numbered in a Chicago uniform.

Jason La Canfora of The Washington Post reported that multiple NFL executives spoke on the condition of anonymity that the veteran pass rusher will be “shopped around” during the NFL’s trade deadline, which is Nov. 1 by 4 p.m. ET.

The news comes after the franchise previously stated that it did not want to trade Quinn during the offseason. One NFL general manager said to the Post that Chicago wants to move the three-time Pro Bowler, but the franchise will have to “eat” some of Quinn’s contract to do so.
This is the exact way he came to Dallas cheap. You can never have too many pass rushers.

Get him for free and sign Suh. Then let mayhem pursue the QB. That's what Jimmy Johnson, John Wooten, and Bob Ackles would do. But Jerry Dumbo GM Jones got rid of them and killed a dynasty in one year.

They are 5-1 with 70+ million in cap next season. They can spare a late round pick
Makes zero sense, if you have watched this team they aren't 1 player away. Also, high would they want a progress stopper for their 2 rushing prospects.

and????

we are not in the market for a Pass rusher we are overloaded with them..

Hmm unless they want a straight trade for Basham for Quinn and them pay 90% of his salary LOL

It's fools gold. They have survived due to other team's mistakes, but also both Jones and Barkley have never played a full season, let's see if they can stay healthy for the entire year.

This but I think you have to give their coaches some credit. They have them believing and quite frankly done a heck of a job coaching so far.

Pass.

Not sure he’d be an upgrade over what we have and think he could be a liability against the run.

Don't see the Cowboys in the market for another pass rusher. They already have issues giving their players enough snaps and Basham is expected back at some point as well. I heard the Giants are showing interest, but why give up future picks for a team that is still rebuilding?

Meh,.. Basham is not gonna be a difference maker, he's way at the back of the lunch line anyway.

- But I'm not interested in having to give up high picks and trading for that salary for a 32 year old DE.
i don't think our means are that desperate that we have to entertain giving up such compensations
and we know 32 yr olders with that kind of contract is Not Stephen Jones anyway.

- For a playoff competing team, that has multiple high draft picks- and the allotted cap space to acquire a Quinn ..yes, Philly...they maybe could consider such a trade.

- We acquired the Pro Bowler Quinn for a mere 6th rd draft pick, and a deal that saw Rams eating a certain portion of that contract to close the deal.

- Quinn who has produced 19 sacks (Rams) and 18 sacks Bears, .also gave us the Cowboys 11 sacks,
He has the rush skills - so depending upon the team, scheme, role and support cast, he could still produce in a certain scheme and role.

No way this happens. Quinn has $8.2 million in base salary left for 2022, a base salary of $13.9 million in 2023, and a base salary of $12.9 million in 2024. Besides if we are in the market to make trades I would rather look at DT or WR. I had hopes that Neville Gallimore would have a break out year but I have been disappointed so far and Quinton Bohanna still doesn't seem to be anything special. Odighizuwa seems to be the only one that makes any kind of impact. At WR I would like to have someone with some speed. I don't guess that Turpin has impressed them enough as a wideout to use him. We need someone who can take the top off.

Oh I’m not advocating they make this move.

I am just saying, they could make the move if they wanted to. They won’t bench Kayvon or Azeez.

No thanks, don't really NEED him for that cap and what they would ask US for

Let them keep shopping him - PASS. He is a one trick pony, and we are already covered on that trick. Need to improve other areas, not one that is a strength already and that we are deep in anyway.

The Cowboys didn’t wanna pay him after 11.5 sacks. We have a real good pass rush we need run stoppers.
