never heard that, have a link to back it up?
No, it's nothing but other spewings from people that I have heard. I'm not saying there is anything to it. May have come out wrong with the way I worded it.

Orakpo had a better rookie year than Ware did...so I would say he's off to a fine start

More sacks doesn't mean he had a better year. Orakpo had 1 forced fumble, Ware had 3 forced fumbles his rookie season. Orakpo had 38 tackles, Ware had 47 tackles his rookie season.

I think Orakpo is off to a fine start of a career. Now he gets to learn another position after one season. Ware has been playing the same position since he joined the NFL. I would target both Orakpo and Peppers in the passing game. They are both going to struggle to learn to cover guys. More so with Peppers since he has been in the league longer. You can't protect both guys. Dallas had to protect Gregg Ellis when they made the transition to the 3-4 and Washington will have to do the same.

I guess we should now award them the title of offseason Superbowl Champions prior to Free Agency. :)

If he is signed to a big deal as quick as Fat Albert there is no way the league office can overlook it. Unless Synder really does just give them what they ask for. lol :jackpot:

I think the Bears get him.

Saw the blurb. The Bears are expected to throw wads of cash at Peppers.

He's always struck me as a play for the money type.

The Commanders are not going to sign Peppers. They will sign Dansby, and they probably will make a strong push for Robinson, but not Peppers.

Haslett has said that Orakpo rushed the passer 400+ times last year, and he's going to do it about 800 times this year. That means there won't be any kind of learning curve for Orakpo. I do think Skins fans overrate him. While Orakpo did have a huge game in Oakland without Haynesworth, I think Haynesworth played a major role in Orakpo's successful season - just look at how Carter's sack numbers jumped.

Are they moving to the 3-4?

I don't care if one or the other goes to the skins...I don't want either to go to the Giants...

It looks like it will be a hybrid to start, but yes eventually they are moving to some form of 3-4. If it's a Cowboys-type 3-4 or Steelers-type I have no idea.

HE'd fit in perfect in DC with Fat Albert: no real desire, motor or guts. I hope he does sign there. I can't EVER remember him being a factor in any game we've played against them. GREAT physical talent, but just a gutless wonder. All style and no substance whatsoever. He's made more money on mediocre results than any player in league history.

I wish the Cowboys could add an elite pass rusher opposite Ware but the thing with Peppers is not just that he is old and nearing the light at the end of the tunnel but he would need a strong, defensive minded head coach to get the best of what he has left...a guy like a Cowher, Belichick, Singletary, Ryan etc. That's why I don't want him wearing the star.

@SI_PeterKing Just heard 'Skins GM Bruce Allen is riding herd on building to skip on biggest FA names, clean up own house, and win secondary FA battles.

All media BS and the agent playing a great game to drive up Peppers price

Commanders GM Bruce Allen is reportedly planning to avoid the biggest free agent names, taking the team out of the running for Karlos Dansby and Julius Peppers.Peppers will land in Chicago, and Dansby is almost certain to sign with the Dolphins.

Allen is selling the Commanders on "cleaning up their own house" and making an impact at the second level of free agency. Though we imagine that didn't go over well with star-struck owner Daniel Snyder, it's a smart strategy for rebuilding a roster riddled with holes.Source:

uhhh, yeah Sonny you get to gloat over the fact your owner isn't a total idiot this off season and might have learned his lesson after ALL these years. But your team is still garbage. Congrats man.
