Twitter: Report - Cowboys OC Kellen Moore not expected to get head coaching offer

He and Dak started great....maybe the calf injury or maybe a rift....the play calling changed drastically after the NE game.

I’ve just seen so many video breakdowns of Moore’s subpar play-calling down the stretch, that I’m very skeptical.

be better.
and committ to the run game.
and take those special plays...line out cedrick wilson's name...and write in ceedee lamb's name.

The second half of the season killed his chances, especially the playoff game. The offense began looking very disorganized later in the season. Too many play calls had people scratching their heads.

“at least one hiring committee came away wondering if he has the commanding personality and leadership style to stand in front of an entire team and grab players’ attention.”

Exactly what I said about him. I don't see it at all.

But then again Tom Landry wasn't some huge personality either.

Dak Prescott is the OC destroyer.

Just a dream killer.

Wrong! Kellen Moore wouldn’t even have the opportunity to interview for head-coaching jobs if it wasn’t for Dak and the talent we have on offense.

Cowboys are like a backwords version of 'Moneyball'. Less rich teams poach are best coaches and leave us with the Moores and Garrets of the NFL.

I do think Moore has potential as OC. He's gotten pretty amazing results relative to his experience. But he's got to a) figure out how to run the ball b) figure out how challenge your star players to play better and c) figure out how to respond when a team 'figures him out'.

He's still super young so it's feasible he can do all that. Unfortunately, he's learning on the job here and we have to live thru that learning curve

Of course he's not, everyone saw the tape Kurt Warner put out..he needs work and his continuing education will happen during the 2022 season at our expense
this is the major problem - his "fasttrack" or learning on the job is coming at our offenses expense...

I read somewhere that even if Moore was to leave, McCarthy wouldn’t install the Packers offense or call plays. If that’s true…why keep McCarthy??

I don't take Moore for an idiot, I think he is fine young OC and like anyone in any profession can improve. I think there was a lot of good he did as OC and somethings that were questionable but I think he will learn from the things that worked and things that didn't.

You're right, because teams are thinking "if this dude is able to have the #1 offense with Dak Prescott as his QB then he must be good!".
