Report: Cowboys players growing frustrated with Jason Garrett, coaches

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Cowboys players are becoming frustrated with the team’s coaching staff for a number of reasons. One is the lack of adjustments that have been made during Dallas’ three-game losing streak.

“I’m told there’s growing frustration from the Cowboys players about their coaching staff,” Rapoport said Sunday. “It really stems from two things. One, just the lack of adjustment that has gone on over the past couple weeks, the Chaz Green disaster at tackle when Tyron Smith was out was just one example. The team simply did not help him and didn’t alter the game plan when it was clear he needed some help. That was one issue that certainly left the players rumbling.”

Another gripe players have had reportedly stems from how predictable the Cowboys have been.

“I had one person tell me that Philip Rivers was out on the field Thursday night calling out the Cowboys blitzes before they happened on the field,” Rapoport added. “Not a good sign for the Cowboys.”
You mean the players see the same things as the rest of us do ?
Jerry better pay attention to this............

Jason Garrett literally is the worst decision in franchise history. We parted ways quickly with so many disasters, but this guy is so stuck in the organization to the point Jerry even called him a ‘head coach in training’ and took away responsibility from him, switched defenses, listened to JG over soon-to-be HOF coaches like Wade and Callahan and got Romo killed because of this guy..

That's fine, Garrett doesn't do **** anyway! I'll take two young and innovative minds at coordinators. Garrett can clap for them and Pat them on the *** all he wants.

At some point Jason will be sitting in Jerry’s suite with a toy headset pretending he’s directing the team just so Jerry doesn’t have to admit he threw away 8 years of these players careers.

Ive resigned myself to the fact that we will not be a relevant franchise until Jerry is gone.

I told my buddy this before Super Bowl XXX, so we mortgaged the house (figuratively) to get tickets and go to that Super Bowl.

Seeing how entrenched the whole jones clan is within the Cowboys, I'm no longer very hopeful that jeri's absence will change much, if anything

Think about it, we're all like our parents whether we want to be or not, so its likely his chips won't fall far from the tree

If this comment/rumor came from someone other than Ian Misreport, then perhaps I'd believe it. This literally sounds like a story that he came up with from reading these boards trolling for ideas.

For sure Marinelli is past his prime and needs to be replaced. I can live with Linehan but wouldn’t care if he’s replaced as well.

I don't think so:

according to this article, he's in the 3rd year of a 5 year contract he signed in January of 2015

2015 would be year 1
2016 would be year 2
2017 is year 3

What are you seeing I am not seeing?

Your correct.. for some reason I thought the five year extension was last year after the Coach of the Year, not the 2015..

But obviously Jerry did that to make it seem like his decision to make him HC was credible, while in the beginning of the season he stripped him of play calling and said he’d have an ambiguous role..

thank gawd it was in 2015, amirite?

I'm thinking long term, a loss vs the Commanders will accomplish something. It would put us in position for a higher draft pick and a step closer to the coaching staff getting changed.

Never thought I would be ok with a loss, but the Zeke stuff, Refs, lack of adjustments and a return to the years where other teams knew the plays is too much for this year... Get the highest pick we can...

Well that explains that lack of effort from this team. Once you start losing players, it's over. If the Cowboys go down big again, Jerry has to make a move.

Right, because it can't possibly be true. None of the 53 players have similar feelings to the posters on this board. They are all automatons and company men who totally buy the party line.
