Charles Harris
Takkarist McKinley
Kevin King
Adoree Jackson

I will take this order if I have to choose from this list. In a perfect world for me I would have Harris, Tak, Watt, King. Adoree would not be in rd one. I couldn't care less about his return skills. Have people been watching Dallas for the last 15 years? Terrance Newman, Felix Jones, Dez, Mo, I've heard the return benefit a million times. Once they get a starting role this staff will never use them in the return game.

Adoree Jackson will be the pick at 28. It's all over the radio the Cowboys have him penciled in already.

USA Today's Tom Pelissero cautions "not to overlook" the possibility of the Cowboys stopping Ohio State CB Gareon Conley's slide.

Conley visited Dallas during the pre-draft process, and fielded a call from the team Wednesday. As Pelissero points out, the Cowboys are no strangers to risk tasking, and need a cornerback. Conley's situation is similar to La'El Collins', whom the Cowboys signed after he went undrafted in 2015. CBS' Jason La Canfora reported earlier Thursday that Conley could still go in the first round.

60 is the furthest he will slide. If he's there, He's a Cowboy .

that tells me he is absolutely not their pick then. Look for move by Dallas with supplemental picks from next year to move up few spots.
Not happening.

Oh my god is Dallas actually not getting a pass rusher???

I will lose it if we pick Adoree
If Barnett and Harris are gone at 28 (I think they will be) then I don't like any of the other's enough to pick at 28.

That's just me speaking about what I think but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if the team didn't view it the same way.

Barnett or Harris? Sure, sign me up for that. Watt, Willis, etc.? Not in round 1.

They can't draft a DE just because they have a need for a DE. That's exactly how they ended up with Ebenezer Ekuban and Kavika Pittman. Nooooo thank you.

you only take Jackson if you have a pass rush that won't expose his size. Dallas would be horrible fit for him.
I disagree but that's cool. I also want a DE but I don't want to take a guy that isn't that good just to fill a need when there are other, more talented players at different positions.

Likely just a difference of opinion for you and I. Again, that's ok. The forum will be divided on anyone we take. Hell even getting a guy as talented as Elliott last year caused a lot of arguments.

It's ok to have preferences, I do as well. When you start marrying yourself to an opinion about a player though, you've jumped the shark as far as I'm concerned. Don't get so sold on your own evaluation of a player that you won't give him a chance once he has a Cowboy uniform on ... you aren't that good. That's my public service announcement for the night and I will now remove myself from my perch.

I would love to have Watt in the 1st and then let one of the 1st round talents drop to me with pick 60, possibly Conley. If Watt isn't there, I like attempting to trade back (maybe to a QB needy team) and getting an extra pick in day 2. In fact I like getting an extra pick in day 2 so much that I would attempt to use a compensatory pick next year, coupled with a day 3 pick this year, to accomplish that task as well, no matter what happens earlier.

Yes. This is a very deep draft at both CB and DE, so I won't mind which position they address tonight. But you are right, they can't force a defensive end if their board says otherwise.

The scouts love Watt and he will not be there when they pick again.

By anecdotal logic, they don't want to miss on a Frederick

Maybe you're right and the scouts do love him. If Dallas does take him at 28 then you'll be correct, and I'll get behind him and hope he provides a spark in the pass rush. Certainly a lot to like about the person. Great guy.

All I can go on is what I think right now and to me I don't like Watt at 28. If the team does then I certainly think they know better than I. I'd rather be wrong about him and get a good DE than be right and get an average player.

Jackson would cover OBJ and slot receivers better than anyone we have. If he wouldn't be better than Scandrick right now, he soon would be.

OBJ would muscle the crap out of Jackson.

And frankly, spending a first rounder on a slot CB seems like overkill to me.

I think a lot of fans look at Watt and see a name, not the player. The reports I read on Watt say he's a better fit as a 3-4 edge guy than a 4-3 end. There are concerns about whether or not he can add the necessary bulk to hold up as a down lineman. Having said that, teams run nickel defenses on over half the snaps nowadays. If the Cowboys get Watt and ask him to just go get the QB, I can live with that.
