Still, the Dallas Cowboys have yet to iron out a long-term contract extension with their franchise quarterback and that’s a little troubling considering he’s technically a free agent after this season. Dak has played like an MVP at times this season, but along with the rest of the team, he’s had his share of struggles.
We heard that Prescott turned down an offer for $30M per year and that he reportedly asked for $40M. We haven’t heard much about Dak’s contract demands since, but an interesting nugget did pop up on Wednesday.
NFL Network’s Jane Slater recently started a podcast (The ‘Boys And Girl Podcast) and on the latest episode gave us a little bit more information on exactly where negotiations might be at the moment.
“Since then I’ve been told that he’s come down. The number is closer to 33, 35 ish. But for whatever reason they’re still not able to get this deal done.”
