He may
He will likely get a huge deal
He is very good at what he does
I always loved madden because you learned from him and tony is like that
Great for young fans

Tony does bring a great deal of knowledge and excitement, much like Madden did. It's not just great for young fans learning the game, but those casual fans that just enjoy the energy he brings to the broadcast.

There is no NFL coaching job that is going to pay him 12-16m. You people that think there is are living in Fantasy Land. Current top guys are in the 10m range. Are you really going to pay a guy that has never coached the top salary in the league?

And then some of you think he would make that as a coordinator are just off your rockers.
Tony ain't going anywhere, he's going to stay in broadcasting. The man gonna get paid.......$$$$

Off-base and mean-spirited replies in 5, 4, 3, 2...
Romo has a crappy grin and he's a too-smart goober!

Damn... I'm sorry. I was out of place with those words. I know they could hurt and I take responsibility for the offense that millions, nay! Trillions probably have already taken to this.

I can't help it! Society has made me the animal I am!!!

If Romo decides to coach, it will not be about the money. He is a competitor, he is putting that on the back burner now to be with his kids and family, and I can't blame him one bit for that. But at some point, he will want to rejoin the competitive side of the business and he will go into coaching, not for the money, fame or glory, but because he wants to compete. Besides, he was an excellent NFL QB, Excellent Analyst, and will want to tackle the coaching side and become an excellent coach. I bet by the time he is 45, he will be a HC in the NFL.

I respectfully disagree. If so why is Aikman still in the booth. Who needs the NFL day to day headache. When you can enjoy it from a far.

FYI.....since the "Report" decided nit give us a figure or range of what he can expect, you can the two articles below and decide for yourself. Hell, he's quietly becoming a celebrity. When you ever heard of fans talking about tuning in for an NFL game to listen to an analyst. You can make a case he's going to increase viewership in a way the networks have never seen. For that, if I'm Romo, my range is $12-15M.

How could they have given him a showcase position like that without locking him in with options?

Seems really incompetent.

Nobody deserve more. Romo is a class act, and yep he makes it fun for even those casual fans. The NFL needs more Romo, or guys like Romo. I’d wager that Romo even makes it fun during his prep work when interviewing players before the games

Imagine going from an undrafted FA to a multi-millionaire player with a hot model wife, to now one of the highest paid TV analysts.

The best part of Romo is he doesn't make an *** of himself to get people talking. He does it by presenting the game in an innovative way and for being so matter of fact.

It's the ten percenters.

They are wallowing in the misery of seeing Tony threads because they hate the comparisons to Dak, for some reason I'll never understand.

I think we all root for Dak, but trying to diminish one person's career to prop up the other who has less talent...

You're right. It's off-base, mean spirited and intellectually lazy.

When the only way you can defend your position is to compare him to the bad games of others (and they have been doing it this year in boatloads, not just comparing to Romo) then what does that really say about your choice for a QB? And what are you really saying about him. I've never understood that either

Give you hint.....John Madden has not made the HOF as an analyst.

Not disagreeing with your premise but he deserved to go in as a coach (as he did) anyway. It is also hard for him to make it as an analyst since he is already in the HOF as a coach. That said I do not believe any analysts are in the HOF (could be wrong but I don't see any as contributors).

It was a shame that it took so long for him to get in the hall as a coach. The Raiders are the Raiders because of him. 10 straight winning seasons, 7 division championships, all time highest winning percentage (.759) of any coach with at least 100 wins, 17 straight wins (1 behind the all time record), Superbowl victory, Coach of the year award, the list goes on...

My point exactly......but I can certainly see him getting in as a player someday. I can also see his job as an analyst influencing voters.
