Not until the Garrett boys and possibly Stephen jones at gone.
It has to be sweet for him at this point. Romo is a realist. After Dak took his spot he probably knew that HOF wasn't even a option for him.....and then the announcing gig came up and he's done so well at it he's in elite company. Has to be strictly sweet for him.How bittersweet would it be if Romo make the HOF as an announcer and not a player?
What idiot would leave the booth to go and coach and put in all that work? Cowboy fans killed Romo his whole career just like they re doing Dak now....who wants to put up with that again? He can't do any wrong now as a analyst.....he'd be a fool to leave unless he just really wants to coach. Not until the Garrett boys and possibly Stephen jones at gone.
Not bad for an UDFA out of Eastern Illinois.FYI.....since the "Report" decided nit give us a figure or range of what he can expect, you can the two articles below and decide for yourself. Hell, he's quietly becoming a celebrity. When you ever heard of fans talking about tuning in for an NFL game to listen to an analyst. You can make a case he's going to increase viewership in a way the networks have never seen. For that, if I'm Romo, my range is $12-15M.

I don’t buy it. I think the chance to be a NFL HC without paying any dues as an assistant would be too much for Romo to pass up. He’s a proven TV analyst and if he left he’d get opportunities to come back if he wanted. I don’t disagree that Romo has a great gig, but the draw to be in the thick of competition especially at that level is what those guys live for.

For less money and more headaches and second-guessing.And some still think that Romo would take a pay cut to coach Dallas.
Are you saying Romo has "conquered" his current profession? What idiot? A non conventional thinking competition junkie who never really needs to make another dime but instead feels a deep desire to compete to be fulfilled and has conquered his current profession. Now, name someone that fits that description.
Most of that is right except the marrying the celebrity part. She did some reporting and years ago won a beauty contest, but she was not a celebrity, thank goodness.People who mock Romo as a "failure" seem to lose sight that this is an undrafted free agent who shot to fame and became a household name, shattered nearly every single franchise passing record, married a celebrity, earned $200 million and may well earn another $200 million.
99.99% of his critics and haters won't even achieve a thousandth of that success themselves.
