Different team. Different coach. That '07 Giants team actually looked really good playing the 15-0 Patriots. But would he have played his starters had the Patriots been 14-1?

Either way, this Giants team is garbage. There's really nothing Daboll can do except to tuck his tail between his legs. Who are we kidding? This Giants team wouldn't even cover the spread, let alone win. And that's with their starters.

That Giants team was pretty trash earlier in the season. They made a late run and playing all out helped their cause. My suggestion was start em all and see how it goes. Pull them if it looks like you're losing, but do it before it's super obvious. I dont want my starters walking away with the taste of an L. Rest if for the teams clicking like a well oiled machine. That isn't them.

Hurts should be able to lead them to a quick 3 score lead against their backups and then take a quick seat as minshew takes over (I mean, he pretty much destroyed their STARTERS pretty quickly, so who knows what he'd do against the guys worse than their starters)

He'll probably be able to start resting by mid 2nd quarter,...then have 2 weeks to get back to 100%
Are you sure? Your Eagles got beat pretty bad last week.

Maybe they are resting guys who have minor injuries that will improve in a week.
The Cowboys of the 90’s didn’t even let Troy, Emmitt, or Irvin dress for the final game, but most other starters played.
the teams of the 90's already had the #1 seed or could not get farther than 2nd seed.

But why does it matter...didn't the Eagles already lock up the No. 1 seed given that many of you thought Gardner was as good as Hurts? Surely Gardner didn't lose two games -- one of which he had the Eagles offense looking the worse in the NFL, right?

Surely Parsons and most of this board are not complete idiots, right?

Well, when u lose ur best players...it kind of affects things.

You being a New England patriot/bill bellicheat fan, remember how the Pats weren't quiiiittteeee as good when Brady couldn't play during his MVP years,...

His backup wasn't as good at cheating. No offense to u Pats fans

Pull the plug early and rest some guys if it looks like the Giants are mailing it in.

Your projection is intriguing, but odds are that dog isn’t going to hunt.

Really? Even after this week, we're back to rooting for players to get injured?

Sad.
Players get hurt in sports. It happens all the time. We just lost our RT and Center plus the # 2 & 3 CB's this year alone. This isn't Madden football, lol. The only way to be sure not to get hurt is to not play. Go get a regular job like everyone else. Last time I checked it wasn't a birthright to play NFL football. Nor is it something anyone has to do. These guys who CHOOSE to play know that and accept that.

Of COURSE players get hurt. Our guys, everyone's guys.

Acknowledging the unfortunate reality of injuries, is not the same as saying, in a wishful manner, that a player will get hurt. Correct?

Would you want a Washington fan to say "hmmmm, maybe our oTackle will plow into Micah Parson's knee and ruin his career!"

You see, it's the tone of the statement. Sure, Parsons career could be ruined in any game he plays in....but only a scumbag would say it in a thinly viewed wishful way.

Sorry guys for this news but I hope you understand we have to do what we think is best for us next week, not tomorrow, probably against Minnesota. i couldn’t stand it seeing any more key players going down….we’ve had enough this year, don’t ya think?

best wishes v Washington….you never know, our backups might play the game of their lives tomorrow and we do the unthinkable. (Crazy, I know)

My point was even when there was nothing to gain, most of our defenders and the OL all started. We just couldn’t rest more than the three starters and maybe a couple guys with nagging injuries.
