Cowboys play at 10 AM so they will not have the luxury of knowing the results of the early games. Play for 12 wins and hope enough happens that they get the #2 seed? Or rest the starters?

IMO rest the starters.

Play to win.

eta - No problem with giving the game off to players who are hurt, though. I would sit Murray and Leary, for example, if they are still banged up next week.

Rest....

Let Muray Carry the ball 10 times to get his yards and break the record, and the starters sit on the sidelines after and drink coffee.

There is nothing to gain by playing our starters. We only subject them to injury. Give them a bye week and we'll play the loser of the green bay detroit game at home.

Unfortunately we'll be going back into Seattle, so we'll have to beat them at home twice this year to advance beyond in the playoffs.

I think there is a compelling case that we could make it to the super bowl if we can beat Green Bay or Detroit at home.

Pedal to the metal!

Remember 2007? Same scenario... but we had #1 locked up. Got wooped in DC... just left a bad taste. I say go for the win. Monitor Murray/Free/Martin

Can you imagine the grief Garrett would take if they rested their starters and Seattle lost to the Rams next week?

Not rest, but definitely do not play them an entire game. Treat this as something like the 3rd preseason game of the year. Give them maybe a half, because I want no fear of rust in the playoffs, then get them out of there.

Rest your injured players but go for the win...

It did leave a bad taste. Anytime losing to the Commanders leaves a bad taste. But for all the talk of momentum, etc, I don't think that loss or a 1-2 finish that season had any affect on the playoffs. We led the Giants at the half, but went away from the run and then still had a chance on our last possession. As it turned out the Giants were the eventual SB winner and we only lost by 4.

I'd still like to beat the Commanders but if seeding isn't a factor I'd rather be healthy for the playoffs than risk injury. I'd hate for some like Tony or another starter go down like Romo did week 16 in DC last year and it ruin our playoff hope.

We have to win next week and those other components happen.
