No it's not but keep telling yourself that....wouldn't want you running a company or coaching a team....how do you go into a game against a team that already beat you, a huge rival, and a chance to go undefeated on the road, with a chance at a bye week and tell your team/employees that you are going to settle for number 3 when there is a chance to be number 2....you my idiot, are an idiot

What we do in that game win lose or draw has no effect whatsoever on getting the 2 seed. What do you not understand?
Teams play better after a bye. I'd rather be healthy going into the playoffs than risk it trying to beat wash? When the game doesn't matter.

There is no award for winning all of your away games.

We have a chance to ensure our starters are healthy and rested for the playoffs and attempt to make a run for the playoffs. Win or lose doesn't change our ability to get a higher seed.

Remember 2007? Same scenario... but we had #1 locked up. Got wooped in DC... just left a bad taste. I say go for the win. Monitor Murray/Free/Martin

They need to decide in advance to go all in or not bother, a half assed effort will probably not turn out good and get people unnecessarily injured

The Commanders are going to blitz on every play. Just like they did the first time.

Playing Romo is a moronic decision. Anyone who thinks Romo should play is a.......

I did not think this team would win a game this year, after seeing the pre-season and opener. That said I could not be prouder or happier for what this organization has accomplished. That said, we should have an idea if we have a chance to advance our seeding after the AZ game tonight. At any rate I'd love to see Weeden, Randall, Dunbar, etc. to to Haslett's D what was done tonight to the Colts...

I would like to see Murray get the Single season (Cowboys) record. He has worked too hard this year to leave it on the table. Other than that I think you rest anyone of consequence on the team.

That means Murray would be running behind the 2nd-string line.

You have to play only your least important players.

You almost have to use the starting line. There's just not enough players on a 53 to replace them all. You can sit Dez, Romo, Witten, and Murray without issues. On defense I think you rest anyone who has legitimate health issues but other then that keep playing. Or you basically treat it like preseason game 3.

Rest or not: The Cowboys will have a decision to make as to whether they want to sit their starters if the season finale against the Washington Commanders will not alter their playoff standing. Romo came out early in the fourth quarter. Murray had eight carries in the second half. The backups on defense played a lot of the fourth quarter.

Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones wants to build on the momentum.

"I'm not a sitter, especially under these circumstances," Jones said. "I'm going to act like an amateur and play it all. I want to win every first down."

Teams usually play better coming off a bye. The stats back that up. Rest the offense.

Does that apply to us though? For some reason I feel like we don't do so well after the bye.

Don't expect starters to not start, this is a blue collar team. They'll kick it off, play and stay greased.
