Ill never question a players desire to get into the end zone and score.

I feel different then others. I think we score there on that drive, and we would've won the game....it would've changed all the momentum. When we had to give the ball back to GB, you could tell by the body language and just the over all emotional feel of the game. Of the coaches and players and fans...... it changed the game and the people playing the game drastically.

I also think, we were humming on offense. And if we had hit a 4 yard pass to Witten or Bease or whoever, we would've marched into the endzone. That team was on a mission.......... and it was sucked away by the Refs.......

Agree, can't blame the will to win.

As for Dallas "humming on offense"--well, we were going for it on 4th down...so things were getting pretty dicey. Romo was sacked two plays earlier and Murray had been stuffed for 2 yards. No guarantees (in fact odds against) that we 1) convert that 4th and two and 2) then drive another 32 for the score.
Any number of things could have happened with that pass rush heating up: Pick, fumble by Romo, fumble by Murray, fumble by WR, multi penalties, turnover by downs...etc

yeah, good points.....

I just got the impression they really "wanted it" and wouldn't be stopped by anything. And they weren't.,...Well anything on the field. The Replay booth stopped them. Worst Call in Playoff History and the guy should've been fired. But the NFL is....what it is, today...

I liked the decision by Romo.

You have no idea what would have happened if we didn't go to Dez there. None.
You make all sorts of assumptions and certainly fall into the category of those that would be first in line criticizing Romo if/when they failed to score a TD after either 1) not converting that 4th and two or 2) not driving the rest of the way down field (32 yards) to close the drive with a TD.

It would be something like "Dez was finally in single coverage, and Romo, the loser that he is, had no guts to go for the win. That's why we'll never win with choker". I can just hear it. lol

But since I know by experience that you will argue this (or anything) until you're blue in the face, I'll just say we agree to disagree on this particular issue.

I told you what would have happened had Dez's catch STOOD. Did you not comprehend that? You're just one of those who has an agenda. It was a bad decision to go for a 50/50 jump ball to Dez to try and score with just under 5 minutes to play when the Cowboys were facing a manageable 4th and 2. That's my opinion based on our defense and the QB we were facing who had been shredding us the second half. Had we scored on that play or one of the next 3 plays the Packers and Rodgers would have had plenty of time answer and win the game. Care to argue that? A TD and the PAT would have given the Cowboys a 2 point lead so they would have had to go for 2 to avoid losing with a FG. Romo wouldn't have received any criticism attempting to pick up the first down on a high percentage pass to Witten or Beasley.

Instead he went for a low percentage desperation throw to try and score even though there was plenty of time left. Everyone knew the Cowboys defense wouldn't have been able to stop Rodgers with that amount of time left had we scored. I argue when I have a good argument that can't be disputed. No one can dispute what I've said on this topic. Romo played a great game that day but he made a bad decision going for broke on a 4th and 2 with just under 5 minutes to play.

You can't leave Aaron Rodgers with over 3 minutes, it took him less than 2 minutes to work the ball inside the Cowboys 30 just trying to milk the clock. He was able to start taking a knee with just over a minute and half left. Romo should have gone for the first down and worked the clock with Murray who averaged almost 5 yards a carry that day. We could have run the ball in or gone for a high percentage fade to Dez in the endzone that would have been difficult to defend leaving the Packers with little time.

I know what you said I went to the original topic.
Really all of it is speculative, so there was no point.

ClassIc KJJ though...I tell you we agree to disagree because you will write for a week on somethings--right or wrong--and never acknowledge anything. And you'll write full pages for days and assume you are correct.

For example, stating as fact that Dez one on one in press coverage is a "low percentage play"
Well, that seems to me more like 70%.......with FAR greater reward. Low percentage my *** with the way Rono was throwing it and how Dezcan dominate one on one.

Like I said, if it makes you feel good I can tell you that you won. Otherwise, as always, Ican see this going for days.

The irony is that we agree the vast majority of the time.
