I have come to the conclusion that maybe all this hand wringing about what is wrong with the team ignores one major point.

Denver is just better, period. They have better players, they have better schemes, they have better coaching, and the have a better front office/gm.

Maybe there is really nothing drastically wrong with this team, it's just not that good compared to other teams like Denver.

I mean how good were they in week 1 vs 0-2 San Diego?

I encourage everyone to take a look at this link to the play by play for this game:

http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/20170...p3000000847079&tab=analyze&analyze=playbyplay

Take note of how many times you see the words "Prescott" and "pass". Not just when the score was out of hand, but from the very beginning.

This team's offensive playcalling played as big of a role in the rout as anything else.

There were problems all over the place and plenty of directions to point the finger, but playing right into your opponent's hands will get you beat every single time.

Wish we could have spread them out and attempted running.. Instead we abandoned running entirely out of our very predictable formations.

They were better Sunday, for sure.

We've seen it before, though. What happens when you play a team once is not necessarily what happens when you play them a second time in the NFL. On to AZ now. If we see Denver again this year, we can worry about what to do about them then.

Cowboys suck in Denver.

I dread it When I see that pop up on the schedule kinda like when they get to play in NO on a prime time game.

Well, they shouldn't be better. They don't have the offensive talent we do unless you think their OL is better, their QB is better, their RB is better. I guess one could argue their WRs are better, but it's not like we have chopped liver out there.

Defensively, yes, more talent.

Vegas had us as a road favorite. In other words, I suspect Denver isn't really that much better than what we saw that game. We just played bad and some of our flaws were exposed whereas we seemed intent on not trying to expose the flaws of Denver.

Or how about selling out for the run instead of abandoning it? Dictating to a defense instead of letting them dictate to you.

Why do they pay so much for those linemen?

Why draft a running back at #4 overall?

Why carry four tight ends?

Why carry four running backs?

Why carry a fullback at all?

I would call being that much worse than any team as something is drastically wrong. Dallas simply doesn't have a winning scheme on either side of the ball. Both schemes require overwhelming talent which Dallas simply doesn't have. Last year the OL, Dak, and Zeke represented overwhelming talent and that's why they went 13-3. This year, all three are playing at a lower level and are anything but overwhelming.

Denver is a fringe playoff team at best that will probably finish 3rd in their division.

Opponents matter. Week 1, Pats get owned by Chiefs (at home) and the wheels are coming off. Week 2, they get to play the Saints, and they are the unbeatable juggernaut again. 2 games against great defenses are not a season.

Last year, we lost to the Giants twice. Nobody walks into Denver in weeks 1 or 2 and wins, and they have a tremendous defense. Our offense is going to look subpar until at least week 5 and possibly week 7, as has been obvious since the schedule came out.

Agree and Denver was geeked out their fords for this game in a stadium where their September record is off the charts.
Looking back, I think we vastly underestimated the task at hand.

But they dont. They have a better D and we have a better O and its not even close either way. The big difference is that Denver was at home and they have better coaching.

I would also say that their O is comparatively better then our D.

Dont make Denver better then thy are.

Just because every idiot in the media tells us how great their CBs are and that this was the reason they were able to stack the line and beat us on offense doesnt mean that this is the reason.

Denver is not that good. They are a good defensive team. But they are noway near as good as for example the Giants.

This was a hard game on the road and our team looked like they ate the cheese.
Our defense has to come together. This will take half the season.

Everbody knows that Dak is not a great QB yet. He has defiencies and paired with a running game that is not working its hard for him and for our defense.

The season is long and we will have easier games.

Lets see where denver is heading after say 7 or 8 games. Then we can talk.

Denver was better than us on Sunday. And maybe the month of September. Lets all take a deep breath here. Remember last year going into GB the Cowboys dished out a beat down. GB went in the tank after that and lost a few more only to come back and make it to the NFC Championship. 2 games do not make a season. The Cowboys were thumped. Our society needs to quick over-reacting to such short instances of a 16 game season. GB lost 4 straight last year? That's an entire month of losing. Could you imagine some of these people if we lost 4 straight?

This
They're not "just better"
They played better and are coached better
Were coached by a red headed clown who never saw a pass play he didn't like and is convinced that cliches win games
