Rex Ryan thinks Deion Sanders may be in play as Head Coach

Kinda like Jimmy Johnson's teams at the U. How did that work out for us?
Jimmy Johnson won a national championship and despite their antics, they were typically well coached.

Comparing Deion to that is kind of funny. Deion is only the hot name right now because after getting smoked by a mediocre Nebraska team, Colorado has beat up a mediocre slate of teams (but also losing at home to the only ranked team they have faced over that stretch in KSU) and has them in contention in a mediocre Big 12.

Lol...The same Deion that started the ruin of the Cowboys. The guy that started the whole procession of players going over the coaches head to the owner. The same Deion that told cowboys coach Mike Woicik to go spit and laughed at his strength and conditioning program and went straight to Jerry to complain and Jerry told Mike to leave Deion alone.

The same Deion that decided he didn't need to join the defensive huddle during games. The same Deion who promoted himself as a 2 sport star over dedicating himself to the team.

The showboat.

No thanks!

Having said that and stated my opinion, I think Jerry will see what I just wrote and then decide to hire Deion immediately.

Talk about a ridiculous move. Jerry must still have a box of Sanders jerseys floating around.

The only way he coaches is if we get one of his sons or Travis Hunter

And also you may not like Deion but players won’t quit on him and if Jerry lets him have his way which he most likely will players who don’t perform will be either benched or cut

I don't think Deion is Jimmy by a big stretch of your imagination so let's get that out of the way. I am just saying that his team is kinda like those of Jimmy Johnson's at the U as far as discipline. Deion does not wanna coach at the NFL level so coming here is not happening. And he needs more experience than he has currently. Coach Prime is a name that remains hot because of who he is. I don't follow Colorado Buffalo's football.

I think this is very possible. Remember, Jerry cares more about publicity than winning. This would bring a TON of publicity to the Cowboys. Is it a good idea to hire a guy that has only been coaching at the FBS level for two years?....ehhh probably not, but Jerry doesn't really care about that. It's all about the publicity!!!
I sadly agree.

Deion has said many times that he doesn't think he could deal with NFL players. Something about his not being able to handle grown men who are getting paid to do a job but refusing to do it to the best of their ability. I don't blame him.. I don't think I could do it either.
..ummm .... good points there. That's exactly type culture instilled in Dallas. Unfortunately

I’ve always been a Deion fan, and I love him and his sons, Travis, and the whole Colorado team.

I don’t think it’ll happen. I wish it would. Deion was here for our last Super Bowl. He raised his family around here. Shadeur is a great prospect. Their family already thrives with media attention, scrutiny, and controversy. They’d fit right in to the media circus better than anyone, IMO.

But it won’t happen. Deion already said he doesn’t follow his sons. His sons follow him. He is trying to build something in Colorado.

The only chance is if Jerry gives him a GM or maybe Will McClay’s job. I can see him building a great roster here before he does something like coach. Barring that, unless Shadeur comes here after his rookie contract and wants his dad to coach him again, I don’t see it happening.

Not true, Jerry would welcome Deion in a heartbeat because it increases the value and attention to the team.
yeah but that attention wouldn't be on Jerry, he wont stand for that...if more reporters looked for Deion after the game than Jerry thats not gonna work....
