Deion has said many times that he doesn't think he could deal with NFL players. Something about his not being able to handle grown men who are getting paid to do a job but refusing to do it to the best of their ability. I don't blame him.. I don't think I could do it either.
Yep, he has which makes me think he's out of play. However, with all the money being passed around to college players these days maybe he rethinks that decision but would it be for Jerry where he doesn't have as much control?

I’m down for it. Well, not really.

But I’m more down for that than promoting Zimmer, or hiring Moore, or whatever other idea Jerry probably has. Deion as the coach of the Cowboys would no doubt be entertaining, and what more do we desire in watching a sport as primal as NFL football than entertainment?

Imagine how hyped the Zone would be the day it happened. We live for times like that.

Zimmer too old Moore is a X’s and O’s Professor who can’t command the entire room .
Sanders is a legitimate unknown . Success in College success as a player but does that translate to W’s in the NFL .

Ted Williams one of the greatest hitters ever lived was a horrible Texas Rangers manager

Deion is actually doing a good job in Colorado this season. Plus he knows how to use star players. If we draft his son I can’t say it wouldn’t work. Deion lets his assistants work and he takes the pressure off the players with the media. Jerry and Deion wouldn’t last more then two seasons together. ;)

To follow up on my previous post as far as my respect for Prime, it would probably be a bad choice.

I really don’t care who is the pick, this team is destined for several bad years if they don’t do a 180 on free agency, which I don’t expect.

I have very little doubt they screw up the next hire in one way or another.
Nothing changes until JJ and SJ step aside and hire a real GM. Re arraigning the chairs on the Titanic

I'm not even sure Deion is the HC of Colorado. I mean in name he is but I don't see him drawing up game plans or really doing anything other than bringing attention and money to the program. He had a poor work ethic as a player and relied on his athletic ability. If Micah thinks McCarthy is lazy just wait until he sees how hard Deion works.
This is preposterous. Facts please.

Do a little research. Start by reading Boys will be Boys. Deion is pretty scummy as a person. Here is an excerpt.

"I still remember Deion's first team meeting," says Clayton Holmes, the veteran cornerback. "We were so fundamental about film. The way we studied it was critical. Well, Deion comes in, puts his feet up on a table and doesn't even watch." When Dave Campo, the Cowboys new defensive coordinator, asked the $35 million man to break down a play, Sanders let out a sly laugh. "Hey, Coach," he said, pointing toward the screen, "I got that dude right there. Wherever he goes I go. All that Cover Two stuff you're talking about -- y'all work that out."

He was not noted for his film study and participation in team meetings while in Dallas. Deion is about Deion.

I was born the same year the Cowboys were. Life long fan from South Texas who watched the Ice Bowl, grew up with Roger, and celebrated Troy and Company.

If Deon Sanders ever becomes Dallas' head coach I will never watch another game.

Deion is going where his son goes.

And might get involved with who drafts him like Elway and Eli’s fathers did.

I agree with you on the coaching part and I don't know if he could do in in the pros, but the work ethic part I think is a myth as I always see him praised in that area.

I could see the Sanders family fighting the Jones Family after the first season when Jerry tries to assert his dominance.

I think Deion is a hell of a coach and connector, but I dont think he's got the patience for the..lets just call it 25+ crowd.
Yup, listening to the things he says, how he coaches, the culture he wants….hes kind of old school in his approach…which is a good thing. Now would it work on adults vs college kids…..
