RG3 bust potential

You're the geniuses who were trying to sell Grossman and Beck as legit NFL starting QB less than 12 months ago (and McNabb as a HOFer the year before that... and JC as the best QB in the NFCE a year before that). So perhaps you ought to realize that you guys can't identify good QB play at all and are just blind, moronic homers.

Gross. The fact alone that you went to such I credible, effeminate lengths to find a picture of him to talk about his "style", is alarming.

How jealous do you have to be to go against the grain of professionals who have said Robert is an elite QB prospect. And to reach for straws such as his style to help predict whether he's going to bust? Pathetic.

Robert is extremely humble, down to earth, smart, with a great supporting family, and a wonderful friend. I'm sorry that you feel the need to lash out against someone because he plays for a team that isn't the one you root for.

Yes...and Romo is better than Drew Brees. And better than Aaron Rodgers. And better than Eli Manning, who has won 2 Super Bowls by closing his eyes and blindly throwing every pass up for grabs.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I hate to say this, but I think he's gonna be a good one. As long as he has 2 bad games (and 1 more in the playoffs!)......

:D

And you scumskin homers? Get lost.......

Lash out? Really? Calling names is often what people do when their argument is, well, not very good. He is a good friend? How "pray tell" do you know this? Why when someone points out a characteristic or perceived flaw are they jealous?
Call some other 12 year old names or grow up.

He's posted several times that he is a friend of Griffin. Frankly what he wears on the field is irrelevant, what should be more relevant to this topic is who is going to fill Kendall Wright's shoes in DC for RG3?

If a QBs biggest weakness is the way he dresses, I'd say he must be pretty good.

Whatever he is doing, I hope he keeps doing it. Seems to be working...

I never commented on what he wears or anything about TD celebrations. Agreed on the Wright comment.

It's the stupidest thing I've seen because I know for a fact how humble and down to earth he is.

Not to mention, to judge someone based off their celebratory gestures is stupid in of itself.

Get ready for it, now that he is a Commander you are going to be reading all sorts of twisted things.

He has two things working against him:

1.) He is a black QB
2.) He is a Commander

Welcome to bizarro world ;)

I can agree with number two, but would you care to expound on number one?

I am talking about racist critics who hide behind unnamed sources, who criticize things about a player that have nothing to do with football, and I think RG3 has a long road ahead of him.

I'd like to think racism doesn't exist anymore, but look no further back than last year, when a scout had this to say about Cam Newton: "mentally slow with a poor work ethic". Really?

As to RG3, it seems when most who criticize him, they attack things that have NOTHING TO DO WITH FOOTBALL or, the things they say, don't even match or represent the individual they just match that of an "athletic" QB.

Example #1) There were reports that came out from "unnamed sources"
that claimed:

1.) RG3 has no vision or pocket feel
2.) He is just running around winging it
3.) He is selfish
4.) Nobody Likes himExample #2)

The notion that RG3 is going to have problems in the nfl because when he throws "he is too worried about his style and the way he dresses". I mean really? It fits right in with the rest of the things I listed above.

Does it not?

Mentally slow with a poor work ethic is somehow racist? I don't get it, unless the quote taken out of context is losing its bite. Curious to see the source you're getting it from.

Griffin has a higher bust potential than Luck (who is almost a sure thing IMO) but if he can learn to take a hit then I think he'll be pretty good.

Absolutely.

Another vector by which to approach the problem is that Griffin has a much higher potential to handicap the team for quite some time. If he's not up to the task then not only will Washington need to replace him with another high first round pick, but they'll be waiting until 2015 to do so while St. Louis gets to double up for the next two drafts.

The holes that you could fill with great first-round talent are not only going to remain, but rot and fester. Danny Boy will go his usual route of throwing money at the problem in free agency. More than likely he'll do as good as he's done in the past, but without the scapegoat of Vinny to take the fall when the chips are down.

If RG3 isn't the salvation of Washington, the kid is going to be rode out of town on a rail and there'll be no one to blame but the continuing ineptitude of the Washington front office.

Bugger off and stick your cries of racism up...somewhere. Clearly you have a problem with basic reading comprehension.

The discussion was that players often bust for various reasons (drugs, work ethic, mental problems). And the point being made is that Griffin is someone who appears like he might get swallowed by the limelight. His obsession with style suggests he has a potential of becoming devoured by his own ego which could be one of those reasons that an otherwise talented player busts. I would never say that about Josh Freeman or McNabb or Tavaris Jackson because they don't show those things. I would say them about Cam and Griffin because they do. It has nothing to do with their skin color; it has to do with their personality. And you know? I call Quincy Carter and Vince Young stupid knuckleheads. You know why? Because they are both stupid and knuckleheads. It has nothing to do with their skin color. Know who else is a knucklehead and ended up washing out a promising career? Leinart. And Ryan Leaf. Are they black?

You're out of your mind if you think you can shield Griffin from criticism by crying about racism. The entire Idiotic Fanbase of your POS franchise has roasted Romo alive for golfing, wearing his hat backwards and dating starlets. Why? Because the suggestion is that he is not a serious football player. This is the same argument about Griffin. So to cry racism is BS on your part you better damn well stop it now. This BS needs to end now lest you think you are going to be wheeling this out for the next few years to protect your QB. He hasn't even played yet and your are already going to that well. Pathetic.

You will not be able to kill criticism with that lazy, ignorant BS so don't even think about trying.

I am not the only one that thought it was an "oddball" post, even some of your Dallas brethren thought it was the dumbest post they had ever read.

Every QB in the NFL gets criticized, I am not sure sure they get criticized for their "stylish throwing motion" and the way they dress etc...

Your post seemed to be filled with a lot of hatred, in fact, I bet your hand was shaking as you were writing that.

That is just the way I perceived it.

BTW thanks for responding, usually you are one and done (ie post something ridiculous and disappear), I appreciate it. BTW, there are people in the other thread waiting for a response...

If someone attached a name to it, and then explained their reasons why saying Cam was "mentally slow with a poor work ethic", I don't think there would have been such an uproar about it.

When you don't put a name on it, people wonder why.

That was something that came out last year before Cam was drafted. I don't know if there is an actual link. It was fresh in my mind because Brian Mitchell was talking about it the other day on comcast.

Now, you are starting to see some of the same things written about RG3.

If there is no bad intention, why aren't people putting their names on these types of things? If that's not racist, what is? Do you think Cam is mentally slow with a poor work ethic? Does that sound accurate?

I am not a sensitive person when it comes to racial issues, but it is what it is, and it still exists.

Was it this?

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/...g3-merely-the-annual-trip-in-the-time-machine

Last year, Pro Football Weekly's Nolan Nawrocki wrote about Newton's "fake smile."

There was this from Nawrocki: "[...]Very disingenuous -- has a fake smile, comes off as very scripted and has a selfish, me-first makeup. Always knows where the cameras are and plays to them. Has an enormous ego with a sense of entitlement that continually invites trouble and makes him believe he is above the law -- does not command respect from teammates and always will struggle to win a locker room. Only a one-year producer. Lacks accountability, focus and trustworthiness -- is not punctual, seeks shortcuts and sets a bad example. Immature and has had issues with authority. Not dependable."

Newton sure did stink last year. He took that fake *** smile all the way to one of the best rookie seasons in league history.

I think that is something different, but it fits right in with what I was talking about.

Has a fake smile? Doesn't process the passing game? Geesh.

I have no control over what other Skins fans do and say, but it seems to have made quite an impact on you. What people say about Romo has nothing to do with RG3.

Also, this is a game we are talking about. Sports. Not sure everyone has to be an idiot or a "POS" just because they don't have the same wild opinions as you do.

Lighten up Francis, you're going to have a stroke :)
